Our annual compilation is celebrating its 5th year of Bonkers Music uniting producers and artists from around the world. Featuring: Nick Hanzo & Heidenreich Ft das Molekuel, JGR & Yahaira, Lebollet, Ledi Cannit, Kubebe, Ludviq & Mandruvá, Yotam Russo and Anastasia Zems.
Cover Art “Lost Garden” by Michael Rozen (@m.rozen). His paintings grapple with worsening impacts of humans on our ecosystems, bearing witness to a range of psychological responses to climate change.
Head honcho of Belly Dance Services Nick Hanzo unites his talent with Heidenreich and das molekuel, Drehmoment leads us through a trippy journey of deep vocals, massive percussions and psy pads, definitely a great track to start the VA.
With releases on Calypso, Lille based Feines Tier and Hardfist, , together the great Kubebe debuting on Bonkers with “Kenya West” a slow paced banger, with a unique combination of driving synths and mind blowing basslines.
Madrid based JGR & Yahaira, join forces once again to deliver “Galactica Oriental”, bringing some lightness to the compilation, with soft and delightful percussions, driving mind synths and shiny nuances.
Releasing for the second time with us the very talented Anastasia Zems, now based in Lisbon, Portugal, brings “Shadow Theatre” a track that shows a heavy bass line, acid leads, rough vocals and a hypnotic sequence of synths .
Hailing from Madrid, part of Honest Allies the DJ, Producer and Visual artist Lebollet, delivers “Jindama” a Kraut Rock inspired track, with some guitars riffs mixed with a chubby bass line and some organic drums.
“Encantamiento” by Ledi Cannit is a slow pace, Indie Dance track which exudes an enchanting atmosphere, highlighted by vocals that feels like a dark incantation. This piece is a departure from Ledi’s usual style, showcasing her versatility as an artist. The song’s essence leans towards the gloom, casting a mysterious and enigmatic aura.
Head of the label Ludviq, join forces with the amazing Brazilian producer Mandruvá, “Tantalus” is a mix of some recordings from British Columbia landscapes, some raw vocals recorded by Ludviq, a bunch of trippy percussions and of course a little bit of madness.
To close the VA, having the DJ, producer and live performer from Tel Aviv, Yotam Russo brings “Short on the Liquor” a gap between Indie, Disco, and Rave filled with Rock n Roll soundscapes and Punk attitude, which is the representation of his signature sound.

PREMIERE : Nick Hanzo & Heidenreich Feat. Das Molekuel - Drehmoment (Bonkers)

Parisian electronic artist CHLOÉ and her Lumière Noire Records imprint explore new pastures in 2024, leaning into more club-focused sounds with an immersive new compilation series titled ‘Flash.’ Lumière Noire’s new VA collection welcomes a slew of international talent, providing a wave of experimental flavours with definitive underground gradients. ‘Flash Vol. 1’ plays host to four unique cuts, delivered by Danse Alice, Louen Poppé, Leonor & Fausto and Kike Am Radar.

Enigmatic duo Danse Alice’s ‘Dance On Your Grave’ (feat. Lucy) brings undeniably weird and wonderful energy from the outset, combining detuned analogue musicality, eerie vocals and undulating rhythmic cadence throughout. Louen Poppé’s ‘Mondor’ will be released as a single on the 15th March, to tease the VA. The track fuses retro synth stabs, rumbling modular textures, probing arps and haunting harmonies alongside a head-bobbing breakbeat foundation. 

The combination of Leonor & Fausto follows with ‘Monastic’ which blends robotic nuances, pumping drum grooves, cleverly modulated acid synth lines and glitchy sonics to carve out a sci-fi-inspired basement jam before Kike Am Radar rounds off the release with ‘It’s All Lies’, bringing subtly celestial-laced chugging, weighty house vibes full of nostalgic synthesiser layers and copious, reverberated soundscapes.

The village was deafly silent, you could barely hear a pin drop or a murmured whisper echo through the streets. Nothing happened in this god forsaken place anymore. Many, if not all, had left for other climes or intrepid adventures. They'd abandoned everything, in search of something better. Those that remained were intent on making their move soon. They knew the next chapter would be greater than this one. But then again, the grass is always greener... 

Paris-based Motordiscs, conceived by the team behind late nightclub Garage, set a pretty high bar when they launched their label earlier this year with a four tracker VA featuring an all star cast of artists: Khidja, Zombies In Miami, Curses and Kasper Bjørke. Their second helping is no different. This time they've locked in contributions from Sascha Funke, Modular Project, Massimiliano Pagliara and our pick from Concret & Cantor, a heads down cut driven by synths, atmospheric guitar licks and squiggly acid lines.

After the strong album "Fears & Dreams of Living Machines" which came out two years ago, Zero Call return to the scene with a smashing new hit single "Stellar Wind" for the german label "Emerald & Doreen Records", including a videoclip by 3D artist Oscar Civit from Barcelona. Zero Call keep on communicating through their personal synth-retrowave trademark sound about the social contradictions of the new century, a time when humans have fallen into the trap of endless technological progress. The story that arises is a tribute to Edward Snowden's revelations.
The EP includes four remixes by some of the best underground synth-disco producers and Djs like Technobeton (Bulgaria), Adrian Marth (Spain), Fab Mayday (Italy) and Arkademode (Spain).
