“The Orion Years” finally reissued in vinyl format to celebrate its 25th Anniversary // Hybride Sentimento invite Thomas P. Heckmann with one of his most prolific alias; AGE. An ode to 60’s German sci-fi TV series: “Raumpatrouille Orion". Deluxe Edition with new artwork + 2 exclusive tracks, remastered by artist himself, at TROPE studio (Mainz,Germany). Back in 1994, an emulsion time for club oriented electronic music and while biggest techno hits were produced, a bunch of musicians started to explore machines in a non-conventional way, giving another smell to the appreaciation of this new form of music and production: independant, synthetic & futuristic(in the way of announcing something modern; out of humanity). We can point out just a few labels spreading this kind of 'avantgarde' electronic scene, Mille Plateaux, where "The Orion Years" has been published, was one of them. Some of those artists been highly appreaciated by the audience, basing their career on such abstract, melodic or not, experimental dance muzik, sometimes assisted by computers or sequencers, sometimes not.  

Thomas P. Heckmann took part to this specific orientation in a very subtle way as his career always been based on techno production. Aside the hits (at the time on top of big charts), Thomas Heckmann always played with outfits and aliases, permitting to spread secretly, more developed and less commercial, maybe more personnal productions through different labels often owned by himself. At the difference of all his productions, the first album under AGE moniker appears to (still) be an UFO of a generation and a career. Hybride Sentimento, in collaboration with Trope, is happy to reissue an album probably timeless for every aspects quoted, and for the reason to be privately worship since 1st meeting. Enjoy!

The perfect rhythm of works of art and culture, captured even in the unconscious race, speaks of the rhythm of stars, galaxies within molecules, cellular life, and all this moves in the great rhythm of the spheres in the silence of the flame, which is an eternal movement of all existing things. Creation is based on the mathematical formula of rhythm and harmony.
One of our favorities Montreal based Chambre Noire is back with its second release from Québecois artist Vromb, a veteran producer around since the mid-90s, known in particular for his releases on Ant-Zen. Over the course of five tracks on vinyl (six in the digital version), the artist’s sounds seem to take on physical shapes, like living origami: constantly mutating as they open, close and transform into something else. With attention to movement and boundary-challenging textures, this EP is ready to ensnare listeners in a variety of contexts, from club environments to more contemplative environments.
Our pick up is the opening track - Rythme Centrique, slow-paced tune, nonetheless full of movement, with its melodic and percussive elements in perpetual motion. Dark, brooding, plodding, and constantly evolving, this tune with a robust rhythmic section and a tripped-out atmosphere caters to body and mind alike.

The snake slithered slowly through the tall grass. The sky overhead was grey and ominous as if it might rain at any second, as such the serpent quickened its movement and headed for the rocks. He watched all this from his little perch by the fire, out there in the outback amidst the absolute nothingness of a wild expanse of countryside and the dense brown dirt. The flames flickered before him as the raindrops slowly and softly began to fall from the heavens. 

Consulate is set to release a new EP on Australian based record label Good Company Records, an anticipated affair. Ten percent of all profits from the release will be going to local charities in Mooro, Noongar Boodja (Perth, Western Australia).

The waves gently lapped at her ankles as she dug her toes further into the sand, feeling the grains scratching against the soles of her feet. These waking hours were when the sea was at its most calm, before the local fishing boats had anchored up and the hordes of holiday makers began descending on the beach. She inhaled deeply, letting the silence wash over her; nothing beat those early morning hours...

Multi-Instrumentalist Mark Jacobs moonlights as Prairie, a project that blends various musical ideas and atmospheres. His second long player for Denovali Records following 2018’s After The Flash Flood, across the nine tracks on And the Bird Said: Cut Me Open and Sing Me Jacobs works with various recording techniques, analog gear, guitar pedals, synths and human voices to create layers of cinematic and droning sonics. 

Written in the mountains of the French Cévennes, the album is inspired by several different themes and ideas, from the silence of the birds and the tone between a mother and her daughter to constant wailing sirens and the memory of a Vangelis track.
