Racing through the traffic he careered into the darkness of the night in search of something more. He whizzed by cars and buses, down backstreets and highways in the hope that he might escape from himself, just for one evening. This was to be the last time, the last outing, the last escape. He was looking for the last lane and for the chance to start afresh and anew. As the rain began to pour from the heavens above he began to accelerate faster into the abyss. 

D Palace is a new project set to showcase the prominence and relevance of 90's rave culture on dance and electronic music. It will be understated, without pretension and all about the music in the truest of senses. This is the first release on the new label.

Never one to be pigeonholed by genre, Parisian producer MiG-29 has been collecting records for nearly two decades now, extending his musical spectrum into disco, drum and bass, electro, breaks and progressive trance. His 90’s inspired productions have found their way onto labels such as La Chinerie, and now he joins the CYBERDOME family with 6 deep cuts that illustrate the artist's personal eclecticism. 

‘New Generation’ is a kaleidoscopic journey down the breakbeat river; soft pads, deep grooves and tripped-out electronics sound creating a deadly blend of MiG-29 influence. ‘Water Visions’ sticks with the deep aesthetic, this time opting for a techy progressive approach, with just enough trancey hands-in-the-air moments to keep the ravers wide-eyed.

As tempo slowly moves forward, ‘Spacer Worlds’ takes us on an intergalactic voyage through distant galaxies, its 4x4 bassweight crafting an epic dance tool, before the mood is completely flipped on the carnival-esque, trip-hop of ‘Tomorrow’s Bliss’.

‘Digital Dreamscapes’ sticks to the trip-hop vibe with an old Nightmare On Wax influence, before we’re thrust right back into the rave with  a collection of mantras cast in colour, spirituality and zest.

We first heard LOU's music at the start of 2021, as he self released his feel good house tracks entitled 'Nature Tool' and 'Forest Void', which prompted us to get in touch with the young producer to request to premiere one of his next tracks, such was our love for his sound.

Hailing from the small town of Portarlington, Laois, LOU is a 23-year-old Irish DJ & producer, who like most, began his DJ career playing locally, running club nights and parties in his hometown, while playing raves and club nights across the Midlands. 

Upon arriving in NCAD for college in Dublin, he went on to create the NCADJ Society with fellow rave confederate Lorcan Rush, throwing regular 'anything goes' parties on campus and across venues in Dublin. This helped open the door for him to start playing solo at club nights in the city and beyond, featuring in spaces such as Hangar (R.I.P), Wigwam, Berlin D2, Button Factory and The Grand Social where he appeared alongside the likes of Or:la, Saoirse, Cromby & Long Island Sound to name just a few.

3 years ago, LOU made the decision to venture into production, using his spare time from college work to get to grips with Ableton. In December of 2019 he began releasing music and since the pandemic hit he has been using the lockdowns to hone in on his craft, experimenting with different styles and learning new techniques. His most recent productions have been of a house and breakbeat nature, taking influence from productions of the 90's and the more euphoric sounding modern day releases.

Outfitted with anthemic romps, tongue-in-cheek pastiches, and percussions that pivot from rolling adventures to rain hitting the windowpane, Intimacy’s “Across the Bridge” marks the artist’s fifth release on vinyl and first release on Bouquet. A grab bag of fun, dancefloor-ready tracks written across 2019, the EP delivers his aesthetic of old computers, sci-fi movies, and science class educational videos configured into deep, spacey line-toting bedroom techno and melancholic house.

The title track features a catchy electroclash-esque (!!!) saw wave bassline, complete with emo Roland D50 strings and bells, all laid over a very beefy electro beat. It crossbreeds a Drexciya strain of low-end thump with a chewy, Eurotrash bassline evoking that time you lost your wallet at Tresor in '98. Strings and bells from the Roland D50 introduce the same euphoric high found in most of the products crawling out of Perdue's lab these days.

“Angelo’s Houz (D50 String Mix)” is a full-forced banger built around a well-traveled sample of Angelo Badalamenti's theme from Twin Peaks, recorded from an Intimacy live set early last year.

The flipside leads with the spiritual acid techno masterpiece “Datalore66”. Bubbling basslines hit a boiling point when placed in sequence with flutes showing genetic linkage to the Hartnoll family. Highly reactive material.

"Eternal September” opens a portal to the earliest hours of morning via synthesis of swirling pads and snapping drums. Closing the EP in introspective fashion, the track shows just how much emotional range Intimacy can pull out of decades-old disciplines.
