Peaces is a music project by Rizki S. Djanegara, DJProducer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Captivated by the sound of new wave, disco, rock, jazz, and post-punk, makes him active to explore his musical journey through his own collectivecommunity in the local scene through 2017-2020. He has also been released by various labels such as Akamady Records (Jakarta), Boite Music (Mallorca Island), then has joined some well known compilation  series in Rotten City (Madrid) for Rotten Citizens Vol.4 and Oberwave (Russia).

[Tapes To Go #012] | Peaces - Haywire System (Original Mix)

Brazil and Mexico went to a bar, got some caipirinhas and tequila shots, and delivered a couple of tipsy Dark Disco gems. The end!

Joking aside, we are referring here to the result of the interesting collaboration between Moozeic, a cool Brazilian duo formed by Joici Borges and Manuella Wintrich, and Mexican superhero and label owner Veltrán: Forthcoming on the rising São Paulo-based Neurokat Records, “Electrowave” comes with two dark as hell originals and three insightful remixes made with love by a super trio of South American talents: Colombian producer Lu Zero, Uruguayan virtuoso Imanol, and Argentinian artisan Pankote.

Premiered here, the title track, yes, pays a tribute to the namesake genre through its rawness and experimentation. There is absolutely no fluffiness here, especially when you notice that an EBM-meets-Industrial gait was also added to the concoction. “Electrowave” is heavy, dirty, relentless, and fierce. If you thought the aforementioned and made-up bar was at a sunny and breezy beach, you couldn’t be more wrong. It was in a filthy basement packed with sweaty and entangled bodies immersed in the darkness of the intended aura delivered by this bold theme. Kudos, ladies and gentleman!

As you made your way further and further out of the city the towering concrete buildings disappeared, soon to be replaced by desolate, dusty landscapes. Barren and unkept, this dark terrain housed no living specimens — there was no way of surviving in these dry and drab conditions. Though uninhabitable by humanity, with time these spaces became spectacles; marbled and eroded by mother nature.

Following the success of the first two instalments, Amsterdam-based collective, label and platform Sinchi make their return for round 3 of their Altered States compilation. Another far reaching and sonically diverse release, it features music from artists across four continents, including the Argentinian pairing of Altair & Sagan, Syrian duo Boschoco, US artist Mr. Tea and our pick from Lithuanian and returning Sinchi producer Dannie Fade, who tees up a dark, broody cut laced with a hypnotic vocal and crisp percussion.

Lurid Music welcomes Fabio Me Llaman Soltero from Guatemala. This eccentric multifaceted producer, co-founder of the Sonido Moderna collective and the Azul Rosa beach club in Lago De Atitlán, in southwestern Guatemala, has always been known for his insatiable search for a particular sound with the experimentation of various genres. Labeling with a musical genre what it produces, in its own words, is "boring, and music, like life, must be free, because the rhythms are there to be used in the best way for us." Anatolian Weapons comes in to give an argan oil rub to the lead-off track, coming up with an acid desert classic. Vinyl to come out in early 2021.
