Tom Demac emerged midway through the new millennium as a producer and DJ whose ability to straddle various genres and styles with ease have been evident in a colourful and bustling production CV. From early releases on his own Electronique Audio label to singles on acclaimed labels such as Aus Music, liebe*detail, Drumcode and Pets Recordings, Demac has also found a regular home in Hypercolour over the years. "Sink Or Swim" here, oozes elegance from the first kick drum to the very last; a brooding build up of melodic keys and tension building pads swiftly evolves into an expansive and emotive main room floor filler, resplendent with huge gnarly bass hooks and driving drums. The jungle was a place not to be taken lightly or with little regard, it was dangerous and had the potential to swallow you up within the misty green vines at any moment. Wild things lurked in the dense, thick bush - things which man had no place in pretending to understand or own. They were free beasts of a different environment. Khan's mantra had always focussed on live and let live, it was not the place to disturb whatever they might find but to simply observe with wonder. 

Tunnelvisions release a new LP on Atomnation, a superb voyage through electronic obscurity with some big room elements thrown in for good measure along the way. Very good.

The rays were shining through the towering window, It overlooked the old church and was the only hint of natural light to be found in this deep, dark gloomy place. There was the occasional flicker of gold to be seen hanging from the tall ceiling, candles danced softly by the corner of the room as people came and went with delicate purpose. They were here to pray and observe the beautiful surroundings, they knew little of what lurked beyond the far wall.

Not An Animal have long been friends of Ransom Note and that's why we are even more delighted when they choose to release a banger such as this. They've also drafted in Roman Flugel and Frank Butters for remixes but the original is the treat for us.

wilma is set to release a new EP on the recently relaunched Multiplex record label, an imprint based in Copenhagen with a superb catalogue. This is a stunning piece of crafty house music on an EP which looks set to soar.

The brain was a complicated organ, it has the capacity to love, forgive and forget. It also had a passion for hatred and jealousy depending which way the wind blew that day. Phase memory was a complicated burden and it had led him down many a dangerous path across the years. Whilst he was settled now he still feared that one day it might reappear to haunt his very being and dismay. Others watched on as he danced high and mighty upon the stage but little did they know of his inner turmoil. 

Gene Tellem is a producer and dj very much on the rise. Having previously released on Project Pablo's Sounds Of Beaubien Ouest she now takes aim with a new EP for London based imprint Wolf Music.

The noise in the jungle was radiant and full of life. It echoed through the ages and cast a spell outwards into the city which sat nestled on the outskirts of the deep green forest. Amidst the trees there was a deep flurry of beautiful life and magical creatures. Water ran gently through long running streams and wild animals gathered at the edge of the river bank to drink. Watching from a whizzing helicopter up high above it would seem like they were from another world. The insect swarmed around the tall trees with a hestitant gaze. 

Spinvis & Vinkenoog are remixed by Sapphire Slows on a new remix EP being released by yeyeh • ninih in the coming weeks. A vinyl only release with a profoundly original edge.

The night was awash with flickering stars and dancing light. Here they were trapped upon a small island gazing out towards the whispering ocean, two strangers in paradise. They were lost yet very much alive. There was a warmth to the air on what was a quiet, summer evening. Their sun kissed skin was as golden as the soft, delicate sand upon which they tread so wearily. They would both sleep weel that night, lost in the comfort of each others arms and gentle embrace. 

Dominik Marz & David Kochs appear on a new EP for Huntleys & Palmers sub label Belters, an imprint which has received firm support from a collective group of disc jockeys. We've been told that Ame have been playing this one out a lot, so some of you may recognise.

You may already know this one… We lock-in the first reload of our burgeoning story so far with a return to Darlyn Vlys’s ‘Wuzu’. Previously featured on the second V/A ‘Muy Duro’ EP, it’s loaded with an instantly recognisable desert-bound vocal, a warm undulating bassline and that perfect balance between space and tribal intensity. And now it’s loaded with a new original and remixes, too…

‘Arrival’ is brand new material from the rising Spanish artist. Perfect for big entrances and mix intros, once again Vlys has nailed that balance between the space aged and tribal with its staccato voodoo voices and purring, velvet machine prowess.

Remix-wise Disco Sentimento founder Tyu strips back ‘Wuzu’ for a woozy percussive twist while Modular Project add a whole new layer of bassline space dust to their remix of ‘Arrival’. Both complement Vlys’s originals, his hip-slinking hypnotic signature and the label’s ever-flourishing remit perfectly.
