The human rights situation in Russia is becoming more acute each year. We believe that the violation of human rights is unacceptable. With Hand to Hand VA we want to draw public attention to this problem and provide assistance to organizations involved in helping people faced with arbitrariness. We have brought together like-minded musicians who share the ideas of cooperation, freedom and unity.

All proceeds from the VA will be split equally between the Russian human rights organizations: Mediazona (an independent media platform focused on the judiciary, law enforcement and penal system in Russia founded by Pussy Riot members Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova) and OVD-Info (an independent human rights media project aimed at combating political persecution).

This is one of those stories that starts with a boy finding a book in a dusty attic. 'Weird Legend' drags you across contrasting seascapes, offering different lighting from song to song. Abundant in field recordings from this former sailor officer's favorite beaches of Crimea, this material has sounds of the sea and ocean as a main inspiration. Both gentle and moist in its melodies and as harsh as techno can get in its beats, D. Yaroslav’s (@dyaroslav) debut takes a strong stance and doesn’t fall out of character. Once again, WhyPeopleDance (@whypeopledance) are helping the ones in need. The Dug Up The Bongo founder reached out to the collective with this entrancing material to help Kyiv’s humanitarian fund “Grains of Peace”, started by “20ft radio”.
