Disko Cowboy joins forces with vocalist Brandon Markell Holmes for “Give Ur Luv 2 Em,” a late-summer dancefloor weapon built for the club, including remix by toucan sounds boss, Robert PM. Having established himself as one of the most exciting contemporary dance producers with a string of stellar EPs and LP HENSA, Japanese producer boys be kko returns triumphantly with the Nagasawa EP, four floor cuts bursting with emotion, shimmering in Tokyo technicolor, and perfectly at home on Bliss Point.

Nagasawa kicks off with a bang. “ChuKii” is a peak time heater: breaks, chopped vocals and punchy toms sear over a low end groove that proves body music can funk. Melodic acid explodes like a firework mid-track, taking the dance floor to psychedelic new heights.

The club psychedelia continues with “Mold Mold”, a minimal, subterranean system roller adorned with swells, bells, and deep, guttural growls dubbed to the vanishing point.

“Sant Esteve (kko Edit)” is melancholic and contemplative jazz house, eschewing cliché and twinging with nostalgia for that moment you felt most free.

“Humor is an important part of my music”, boys be kko reflected over lunch as Izakaya smoke billowed past his face. “Oignon”, the fourth and final track on Nagasawa, is an airy and joyful cut of sampledelia that makes good on this promise. An enormous smile of a track sending listeners off with a slice of sonic sunshine and, dare we say, hope.

PREMIERE : boys be kko - Oignon

High above the desert, where the sky spilled its secrets in stars, the brightest among them was Altair. To the villagers below, it was more than a star—it was a guardian.

Generations passed, but Altair never dimmed. Pilgrims crossed miles of sand to sit under its light and make wishes. Some claimed they saw a flicker.

On a clear night, if you stare long enough, you might see wings in the darkness. Illuminated against the dense black.

For in the sky, where time folds and dreams take flight, Altair burnt brighter than all else.

 Two Thou is the lead behind the Oraculu project – a hybrid jazz exploration with ambient undertones described as follows:

“This music was born in Berlin, matured with me through a winter in the rural Sardinia, and ended up on wax through Chicago and New York. With this record, that to me sounds in-between worlds, I want to recall that jazz and electronic music both emerged as inventions, and it seems to me they’re both suggesting us to keep inventing.”

PREMIERE: Oraculu - Altair [Division81]

Flash Atkins has pulled together a crack team of musicians for Sanza Mibale Ya Bo Pemi. It is a tribute to the golden age of afro disco, when the sounds of 70s New York found their way to the continent and fused with local musical styles and rhythms.

Felix Ngindu sings in his native Lingala language from DRC over a locked bass, congas, keys, percussion, rhythm guitar and a brass section from Haggis Horn's Atholl Ransome and Malcolm Strachan. Funk, disco, soul and jazz all blend for a a peak time jam.

The Flash Dub strips things back to the rhythm section for heads down, dubby action and a tracky take that still packs a dance floor punch.

The incomparable Bosq steps up for remix duties and knocks it out the park. Layered drums and percussion give things a more latin swing before the beats break, piano enters the fray and it's a tropical funk party starter all the way.

The dub does the beat thing, rocking a hard groove for the dancers. Hands in the air? F**ck yeah!

PREMIERE : Flash Atkins All Stars - Sanza Mibale Ya Bo Pemi

After 2 outings on recent SHOUTS compilations, Asa Tate lands on Rhythm Section Intl proper with a timeless EP - “ Replica”.
Asa Tate, fka Tech Support has been on a bit of a tear recently and this record feels like a real step up: a statement of intention aimed directly at the peak time dance floor.

A student of the Weatherall school of DJing, Asa Tate has showcased an astonishingly mature approach to production over the years that belies his age. You’d be forgiven for thinking these 4 tracks had been discovered from a dusty DAT tape, locked away in the vaults of a northern Italian club and rediscovered after 30 years….Listen more closely and you’ll notice the contemporary production flair and more recent influences that make this EP a perfect reinterpretation of the mid 90s house sound: sitting somewhere between dream house and Morales finest work under the red zone moniker.

The EP wastes no time in setting it’s intentions with the A1 Title Track, “Replica” - after a brief and floaty progressive house intro the refrain “ E-e-e-e-e-e-e-ECSTASY” echoes loudly over sampled vocals, euphorias piano chords, throbbing lead synths and a bouncy tech house bass line. It straddles so many sub genres of house without feeling derivative of any of them. Cliche’s and classic samples are embraced playfully and serve to contextualise and elevate the influences. This is not just really great house music or excellent storytelling, it’s art history.

“89” is a sultry deep house cut featuring rising Spanish star, Dariam Coco on Vocals. It floats like a butterfly, but stings like a bee, as the soft chords are interrupted with huge drum fills deftly transforming an after party jam to a peak time moment.

We continue to “ Unknowns” - a masterclass in building tension and holding it - this track simmers with restrained intensity for almost 6 minutes. It’s trademark Asa Tate production at its most understated and classy.

We round of the EP with the fittingly titled “Last Dance”, a wistful composition that brings us back down to earth slowly, safely and gently; always grooving but never pushing - this one is the soundtrack to the end of a long summer day and reaffirms Asa Tate’s claim to be a modern master of Deep House.

We’re super excited to give Ned the platform he deserves and look forward to hearing this one soundtrack many a dance as this long, beautiful summer draws to a close

Featuring a collaboration with North Satellite, production and mixing by Metro Area’s Darshan Jesrani, contributions from Bart Davenport and Daniel Collás of the Phenomenal Handclap Band.
Linda Mirada’s new album got off to an unforeseen start a few years ago when she proclaimed - “I’m going to record a record in Italian”.  To this day that idea has still not been carried out, but her first record in twelve years has since materialized. It doesn’t feature a single song in Italian, but it breathes the spirit of the early 80s pop in southern Europe with flashes of Italo disco.
The idea of recording an LP was born from a conversation with Daniel Collás that opened an unexpected door. What began as an exchange about musical affinities activated the need to reignite old ideas that had been put aside. The vertigo of composing and recording music gave way to the pleasure of working on songs. Time in the studio, collaborations and stories that grew as they came into contact with melodies were all guided by intuition, fertile disorder and the complicity of those who crossed paths in the process, plus a few coincidences. The result is a sensational collection of songs that moves between intimate hedonism and gentle melancholy. There are echoes of the most sophisticated sounds of the 80s, the candor of early electropop, influences of Mediterranean pop and splashes of disco. All with a fresh look, without indulging in nostalgia or clichés.
‘Qué largo es el verano’ is an album made with joy and care. It channels Mirada’s influences into songs that shine with their own light. These seven tracks – plus a PHB Dub - crystallize a very personal way of understanding music as an everyday space, where the production is not the main focus, but with an intention in each note and in each chosen sound. This album brings Linda Mirada back to the forefront of a little-trodden but necessary territory; that of Balearic pop made with sensitivity and elegance. And the single in Italian is sure to come one of these days.

The latest release from Berlin-based label PÚCA sounds is a double side fully equipped for the dancefloor, leaving room to explore across both tracks. Cola Ren’s remix of title track King Puck comes smooth and dubby into the chug, swelling with harmony between original percussions spun with Cola’s unmistakable touch.

Bleating is pushed through a late 90s/00s hall of mirrors, rolling with high energy glimmer in the hands of Tornado Wallace. Some ways towards spacey and ultra-danceable, this is a liquid gem of a B-side made to measure as it complements both tracks.

The A-side opens with the title track: spacious arpeggios and dreamy textures create a soundscape that invites you to get lost in the music, a tribute to the carefree spirit of the ’90s. "Techla" follows with a more minimal, introspective vibe. Its hypnotic bassline feels like a journey into the unknown.

The B-side starts with "Somo", a bright and catchy track full of sunny melodies and feel-good energy, evoking Italo disco moods. Finally, "Flusso Libero" closes the EP with elegance and depth. It features a unique vocal sample that stands out in Feel Fly’s style, tying everything together with a nod to ’90s nostalgia.
