The first premiere of the year is a track from the mind-blowing compilation coming soon on the super cool Montevideo-based label U’re Guay Records. Made with love and mate, the VA brings together almost forty (!) rising South American/Latino artists who delivered well-constructed and creative cuts encompassing many different electronic music genres. Expect Afro, House, Disco, Indie Dance, Techno, Breakbeat, and whatnot, seasoned with exotic spices and secret ingredients. Amid the roster, just to name a few, Alex Aguayo (FREEDL038), Ludviq, Fugaz, Cu Da Curuxa, Manu Barcelo (SXDNS344), Fernanda Arrau (SXDNS158), Umvral (FREEDL018/046), Panko (FREEDL051), and Imanol, the label owner himself.

Premiered here, the frenzied and electrifying contribution of the Brazilian duo Fugaz formed by Fael Cogo and Rica Terlone. With a sonority that “evokes the fantasy of Latin American nightlife when it meets the European sunset”, the lads have been slowly carving their way to stardom with solid performances and now ingenious productions. “Trupique”, the noun form of the verb “trupicar” which means “stumble”, is a theme destined to be played exclusively on packed and sweaty dance floors, preferably at peak time, due to its contagious and upbeat attitude. Brazil is definitely well-represented in this true showcase of young South American/Latino talents.

Out here in the streets was no place to make friends - you had to keep your wits about you otherwise there might be trouble on the corner and once those blue lights started flashing they weren't ever gonna' stop.

As the sun went down beneath the silhouette of the tower-blocks the whole mood began to change as shops shut up shop and people wandered on home to retreat to the safe haven of their apartments.

Not him though, he would stay. For his shift was only just beginning and there were opportunities lurking around every corner after dark. They called him shorty but that was not to say he wasn't big time...

Felix Laband is reimagined by the ever innovative DMX Krew who has recently focussed his attention toward the dancefloor with a string of releases and remixes which demonstrate his versatile prowess as a producer. This one might be our favourite yet, a deep, moody, sludgy groove packed with attitude on Compost Records. Do dance...

Norway's Snick Snack Music welcomes Scandinavian electronic duo Trulz & Robin for an album of all-new analogue house jams.
This accomplished pair has already released four albums before this one and are masters of cooking up characterful club tracks. They combine classic sounds from house and techno into something funky, hypnotising and entirely their own. They call upon legendary house music vocalist Robert Owens, Kate Pendry, and their longtime collaborator Baseman for guest spots on this sublime LP.

Say the duo of this latest endeavour, “‘Out of Sync’ is for us an album re-connecting us to our roots. We wanted to create the music in the moment. With feeling and rawness. To embrace the imperfections that arose, and leave out the minds analysing and controlling nature.”

Kicking things off is ‘Inside Of Me' featuring Chicago great Robert Owens; it’s a timeless tune that could be a lost Fingers Inc cut. The drums are deep, and the vocal is among his best in years. 'U Get Some' has a similar early era house vibe with rough edge drums and low-slung bass, then Kate Pendry guests on 'This Is Love', a steamy deep acid cut with pounding drums and warped bass. 'Let Yourself Go' is taught but sensual, with bulbous bass offset by sharp, bright hi-hats that cut right through. 'The Wiggler' featuring Tolani & Baseman is one to get rumps moving with fat, wobbly bass and subtle acid twitches and 'Sync' with Baseman is full flavour deep house with a dark soul and muted chords that hook you in.

Robert Owen returns on 'Be There For U' with an ice-cold vocal that sits amongst lithe synths and stark hits; It's old school Chicago house with a contemporary twist. 'Unconscious' is defined by a rousing monologue from Muhammad Ali as turbulent bass sprays about beneath jacked-up drums and Chuc Frazier closes things out on the peak time acid smasher 'Divine Electricity'

‘Out of Sync’ is another irresistible analogue house masterclass from Trulz & Robin. The album drops on June 2nd, preceded by ‘Inside of Me’ on May 5th, ‘U Get Some’ on May 19th and ‘Divine Electricity’ on May 26th.

In the mystical realm of Melodica, the renowned music producer Bozzwell Bradley ruled over the vibrant domain of the Voodoo Discoteque. This enchanted studio was a haven for both mortal musicians and magical beings alike. Bozzwell possessed a rare gift for infusing his music with the essence of the fantastical, creating tunes that transported listeners to realms beyond their wildest imaginations.

One moonlit night, a shimmering figure named Aurelia, a celestial being from a distant star, appeared at Voodoo Discoteque 68 Records. Her ethereal voice resonated with the power to bend reality itself. Captivated by her celestial melodies, Bozzwell offered to collaborate with Aurelia, eager to channel her divine essence into his enchanting compositions.

As their musical collaboration unfolded, the studio transformed into a kaleidoscope of magic and wonder. The melodies they created unleashed a cascade of sparkling stardust, painting the air with vivid colors. The very walls of Voodoo Discoteque 68 Records pulsed with celestial energy.

News of this celestial collaboration spread like wildfire throughout Melodica, drawing creatures from far and wide to witness the ethereal spectacle. Elves danced with glee, unicorns pranced in rhythm, and dragons hummed harmonies that resonated in the hearts of all who heard them.

The enchantment that Bozzwell and Aurelia wove together was a testament to the boundless power of music. It united beings of all walks of life, bridging the gap between mortal and magical, and reminding them of the universal language that dwelled within their souls.

In the end, the music of Bozzwell Bradley and Aurelia became legendary, forever etching their names in the annals of Melodica's history. And the melodies of Voodoo Discoteque 68 Records continued to echo through the ages, carrying the magic of their collaboration into the hearts of all who listened.

Dusting off some old Dat Tapes in Bozzwells Studio, this hidden gem was found  forged above  a spoon factory at Stag Works, Sheffield by Bozzwell and Chris Bradley, (Lex Records artists and Lights Down Low promoter ) , Voodoo Discoteque throbs.

Cosmica Bandida's debut studio album "Lagrimas Saladas" is an amalgam of sounds influenced by the diverse backgrounds of the members, who find themselves in Munich a city where the leftovers of cosmic music and 70s disco meet cumbia and tropical vampirism. Dark cumbia and psychedelic music collide with the moods of space disco in an album that engages the body. The first two songs that open the record, "5K Caballo" and "Lágrimas Saladas" explore the textures of synthesizers and the atmospheres of Colombian public pools in incandescent villages, while "Pájaro del Desierto" paints desert landscapes influenced by Turkish and Egyptian psychedelic music. Closing the A-side with "Salsa Bandida" the band pays tribute to the basic and classic salsa rhythm in a Lo-fi reinterpretation with the Bogota fashion of cold and mountainous tropical music making.

On the flip side, a group of eight remixers has united to deliver remixes for all the Club enthusiasts out there. Lipelis sets vinyl lovers on fire with his Dubby Disco Remix of "Salsa Bandida", while MaSpaventi, Volta Cab, Los Pulpitos, and Hektisch Sprengen DJs bring their soulful and dubby trip-hop torch songs to the release. Prepare yourself for Grischerr & Heap's glitchy and deconstructed industrial reggaeton remix of "Pájaro del desierto", along with a powerful deconstructed club beatdown by Kobermann. Jacques Satre's psychedelic stupdep remix adds the perfect finishing touch to the package.

The Imaginarium is a unique pearl gleaming within the beautiful galaxy of Lithuanian festivals. Super small in size, yet abundant in beauty of all kinds, the festival is – first and foremost – about the joy of the creation process. This is an essential aspect of human growth that is often overlooked during modern-day events.

Pretty Much tribe nurtures a culture of support, mutual creation, and skill-sharing. With every third person of the collective having learned how to use the DJ decks, it was only natural to take a step forward into music production. This is how five producers were paired with six beginners to go on a unique musical journey together for this compilation of six tracks. Each of them explores the idea of connectedness because the main theme of The Imaginarium VII was about transforming aloneness into oneness.

We believe that genuine and meaningful connections are what every human being truly seeks. The question then is: what if some of the energy put into hyping up people with big names was redirected into fostering co-creation? How much is it possible for a person to open up due to the environment?

To answer this, Pretty Much tribe has built a utopian village that values sharing over commerce. A space where every individual can bask in the sun of imagination by playing an important part in the collective.
