More than a decade has passed since Nuno Dos Santos launched Something Happening Somewhere, a record label that has been a breeding ground for Dutch and international talent. The label remains dedicated to fostering innovation and preserving the cherished styles that have defined electronic music over the years.

Ashley Haak, known as Luna Ludmila, is a Utrecht-based producer and DJ who has become a familiar face in our community. She has seen remarkable growth in the past few years. Following her contributions to the Sway compilation in 2020 and a remix for Dwaalgast in 2021 on SoHaSo, she is now ready to release her four-track EP, Hoisin Dreams, which celebrates uplifting dub influences that are perfect for the dancefloor.

Today's premiere, "Change of Scenery," will instantly take you back to the '90s and early 2000s dance floors. This track pays tribute to the influential sounds of Underworld, blending deep techno synths with a stomping kick drum, offering a fresh take on a timeless formula.
"Change of Scenery" is an energizing track that will undoubtedly be in heavy rotation this summer. The Hoisin Dreams EP will be released on June 7 via Something Happening Somewhere.

Ritmo Terco is kicking off 2025 with an exciting new release from our label boss, Joint4nine. From The Hood EP showcases four tracks that highlight his signature deep, soulful disco house style.

The release opens with "What A Lovely Way To Burn," a deep disco house track that sets the tone for the EP. A jazzy vocal sample evokes a melancholic vibe, while infectious basslines and groovy drums lay down a classic Joint4nine rhythm Next, “Disco Ball” brings a perfect blend of disco and electro beats. A catchy electro melody merges with vibrant disco vocals, creating a high-energy track that will light up any dancefloor. “Climb The Wall” pays tribute to old-school house, blending acid rave elements with a modern electro twist. It’s a nostalgic yet fresh take, capturing the essence of classic rave while pushing the sound forward. The release closes with "I’m From The Hood," a spoken-word Detroit deep house track infused with Hip Hop and funky soul samples.
