PREMIERE • Crossover Network - Failure Extraordinaire [Soil Records]

Beautiful faces and well-dressed people stared back at her from the front of the glossy magazines. She dispised this fabricated image of coolness that these publications purported; they were no models to follow, they were the antithesis of her own perception of what's cool. Rummaging in her bag, she brandished a black pen, removed the cap and fashioned them all matching glasses and moustaches.  

Six years after his debut on Gang Of Ducks, which helped define the early sound of the label, Milan-based producer Haf Haf returns with Pattern In Chaos. Like the name suggests the eight tracks blur the lines between genres, seeing him explore the boundaries of production to find new sonic pathways. Described by the label as "a really singular record which moves energies in a new way", each track is unconventional and surprising, twisting themselves into different and unexpected forms.

Everyone’s favorite synth acid genius from Lajosmizse is back on Dalmata Daniel with the Redate II release, an emotionally filled journey of 12 songs, all showing deep thoughtfulness of composition, mastering soundwaves and harmonies.

Redate (I) was the first full album on Dalmata Daniel, the follow-up, Redate II, includes again a collection of tracks, but these were recorded between 2015-2018.

There are no cuts or edits, all songs are live recordings from J. Mono’s home studio. The songs vary in tempo and genre, a unique mix of acid, idm and electro with pulsating bass and drums. – all of them filled with a range of emotions, melancholy and inwardness.

Another perfect work from our introverted synth-genius is available via digital and on double album (DDCS01 | Redate I & II) on limited & numbered cassettes - both artworks were designed by Studio Jetski.

For this 9th Premiere of 2021, we have a track by the Legendary Detroit Ghettotech innovator "DJ Godfather" entitled ‘Show Some Respect’ from his upcoming EP "Show Some Respect" [DB-095] on his own label : Databass Records.

"DJ Godfather - Show Some Respect EP" will be available from January 29, 2021 on all digital platforms from the album “Electro Beats For Freaks”. Vinyl will be released at a later date via clone.nl.

DJ Godfather - Show Some Respect EP [Databass Records / DB-095]

The mighty DJ Godfather delivers the first EP taken from his epic ‘Electro Beats For Freaks’ album.  

The album is a collection of 44 tracks across almost 2 hours, comprising Ghettotech, Electro, Juke, Techhouse and Bmore.  On the album, the tracks transition into one another with a seamless flow, so they can either be heard individually or as a continuous playback.  As Godfather explained in a recent interview, “I made the album a continuous mix on purpose.  You can skip through the songs but the beginning and ends of the track mix into each other.  I did that so it will be harder for other DJs to play the tracks at first.  This album will be kind of like a sampler to DJs and a full album to non-DJs that just want to listen to the music.  For me, it was another way to get all of the attention from the tracks on one project.”

Now, over the course of the next 6 months will be a series of EPs featuring full length and alternative versions of some of the album’s biggest tracks.  ‘Show Some Respect EP’ is the first of these, to be released on vinyl (via Clone) and across all good digital download and streaming platforms from 29 January.
