She couldn't work out if this was just in his character or if he just had no interest in communicating with her; either way it intrigued her to no end, she wanted to get to the bottom of it. Rather than deter her, his dark eyes and his icy stare drew her further in. There was something behind it, a story that needed to be told, and she wanted to be the one to hear it...

Hard at work since 2008, Egyptian producer Hassan Abou Alam has shared his musical fruits with the world via labels like Rhythm Section, Naive and Banoffee Pies, which explore and blur the borders between breakbeat, techno and bass. For his next outing, he lands on Rinse resident Roni's Nehza Records with a new four-track EP called Ice, that once again showcases his versatility as a producer. Crafted using a mixture of analog and digital gear, the resulting tracks are packed full of textural sounds, meticulous drum work, fx saturated vocals and squelchy bass.

The EP concludes with «Triple A», a high-energy track that fuses propulsive beats with Latin percussion, designed to ignite the dance floor. There's not much to say about these guys, you know their panache, but we will try: One of the most exciting producers of recent years, who can be none other than Aquarian, delivers a long-range missile. A timeless track that is atypical in the Canadian's catalogue but that is for sure at the top of his registers. 


Second track is delivered by Bristol’s Hodge, who has accustomed us to tracks that are played everywhere. This time, he delivered an incessant, percussive and dynamic track, perfectly sequenced that also has one of those melodies that make Jacob's tracks seasonal anthems.

Artificio’s cofounders, Passq (fka Arcane Prospect) and Rainmaker, take their sound in bold new directions with a four-track EP that mixes raw energy with sharp, forward-thinking production. Kicking off with «Midas Touch», Rainmaker blends his techno and ambient roots with fresh ideas, setting the tone for what’s to come—deep basslines and rich atmospheres that hint at his past while pushing into new territory.

Passq follows with «Sin Perse» and «Randy», where intricate sound design, distorted rhythms, and heavy bass are combined with a touch of dark humor. The EP closes with «Amour Fou», a “hyperbass” track, filled with both longing and optimism, echoing a desire for transformation.
