This is SNGVA004 Capital of Peace, Love and Unity, the latest in Sengiley Recordings series of VA compilations. Ten super fresh tracks deviating from the 4-to-the-floor milieu, showcasing Sengiley’s passion for all things breakbeat.

Up first is L&F, offering us some bass laden UKG badness, followed by Cabale with a tasty slice of piano and pad infused 2-step. Awlies comes through on a sublime and magical breakbeat tip, while Helter lands some twisted yet delightful breaks and bass business. Neathway & Alter hit the halfway mark of the compilation: a tidy piece of jungle action reminiscent of the genres 90s heyday. Up next is Withheld producing a soulful yet energetic drum and bass stunner, followed by Charleeps with a transcendent and acidy yet melancholic electro-breakbeat number. Aevasyon delivers some gorgeous, retro-tinged breakbeat vibes and Talihatta brings the energy down with some clever and subtle downtempo. Finally, Citizen Pablo rounds things off creating an ethereal breakbeat track, wrapping up this superb VA.

Brooklyn duo Infinite Monkey Theorem's output matches electronic and instrumental influences to craft music aimed at the dancefloor. There's obvious doffs of the cap to IDM, breakbeat and leftfield club sounds but also elements of shoegaze, free jazz and soundsystem music bubbling up under the surface.

For their new release, ChimpGPT, the pair share five tracks of off-kilter club cuts laced with guitars and hypnotic bass lines. And it's all for a great cause too - they're donating all proceeds from the release to UN Women, the UN organisation who do important work to protect women's rights and end violence against women across the world.
