Revolution 1988 EP is an innovative interpretation of early House and Acid House vibes. Clocking in at 125 Bpm on the A side, it sets the mood for the sonic exploration of naturally expressed, impactful and upbeat classic house piano riffs and a tight rhythm section, contaminated with a punchy bassline and rich percussive elements. To complete the journey, it’s also worth mentioning the effortless contribution of well worked out vocals and dubby kind of FXs that will lift the dancefloor to the very last beat.

The Red Pill can’t be labelled as a B side, in that it is a dancefloor filler of its own. Creating an 80s feel, it’s driven by funky, low rumbling bassline, and an articulated, snappy, sharp percussions, it infuses pure dancefloor energy with disco vibes and organic grooves. It encapsulates the listener/dancer in an immersive sonic bubble of exquisitely full range textures, emotional layers and sound stage experience. He is the co-founder of record label ИДА, which absorbed that eclectic background and approach. Denis likes to combine different influences from wide range of music to create unusual and new sound in the end. On this EP he explores the dark side of his musical spectrum.

Fired up on high energy Electrons, Timothy Clerkin’s imprint Insult To Injury (the label he runs with perennially on-point platform Ransom Note) is back with another arsenal of acid-tinged techno firearms. Manchester’s own Buran light the Bunsen burner & get things super-heated with their analogue heroics. Both tracks are borne from live jams, with minimal adjustment before going to press.
Test phase completed, first out the blocks is Beta, employing a monster low end 303 and analogue percussion to create a menacing floor destroyer. This savage assault is quickly followed by Kincaid’s reimagining of the track – slowed down and, for want of a better phrase, like, totally dubbed out, maaaan. Electro collides with Space Echo for a truly unique experience.
Particles is next, with some serious up-a-gear oomph; full on foot-stomping action, with relentlessly driven acidic bass that takes us back to a time when we could lose ourselves to a groove on the dance-floor. Peak time, rolling techno that demands you move your body.
Finally, we wind up business with Earth Trax’s ferocious take on Particles. Stripping things back somewhat and highlighting the laser-focused sounds of the original, he’s created a space battle in electro-work-out format. Synth projectiles whizz by our ears before we’re ejected in the vacuum of space with a serene, synth-lead soundscape coda.

PRÉMIÈRE: Cole Baby - Jungle Catwalk [Bed Of Roses]

His home and studio - an exquisite apartment set upon three floors, located in the city's first and oldest quarter - became a trove of all of his sculpted creations. The rooms, fitted with large opaque windows that stretched out across tall, off-white walls, were filled with over 200 sculptures of varying sizes, some made of chalk and some generated from now unfortunately oxygenated bronze. The statues, in pure neo-Renaissance style, depicted an array of classical figures enacting diverse hedonistic activities. Some were drinking, some dancing and others were coily sharing a delicate romantic moment, all coming together in a great, immobile gathering.

Playground Records celebrates its 30th release with label co-founder Martin Noise's newest output. The four-track EP, titled DUI, features two original productions and two remixes by Bufi and Middle Sky Boom. Today we share the latter's remix of 'Pis Turístic', an organic, quasi-ritualistic track that features entrancing percussion and a mesmerising bassline that is perfectly accompanied by fluttering synths.

It’s a constant motion built from three decades worth of experiments in sound and song, a left of centre overview of one band’s career as heard in remixes, oddities, outtakes and edits. The result is a perfect flow of ambient electronics, house music and strung out Balearic mixes shot through with musicianship and sounds from all across the globe. 

Lovingly compiled by A Man Called Adam - Sally Rodgers and Steve Jones - from a vast and deep back catalogue, Love Forgotten takes pieces from every stage of their band’s journey and fuses them into a truly hypnotic whole. Reworks of classic singles sit next to commissions for the British Museum; collaborations with Idjut Boys, Sensory Productions and Ibizan legend José Padilla melt into gorgeous sunset acoustic sounds. It’s the perfect mixtape for the endless summer that’s playing out in your head.

She was elegant and daring, beautiful and hypnotic as she danced the night away. Who knew where she'd come from and what magnificent spirit had brought her to life beneath the cloak of darkness and the dancing stars. The way in which she moved was fascinating and perplexing, dancing atop the sand as the wind howled and the rain poured. It were as if she was commanding some great orchestra, up there in the sky, as the thunder crashed and the bangs of drums echoed between the clouds. She was god, her name was Hestia. 

Inflect Records are set to release a compilation of new material from an assortment of artists, proto disco, italo, acid and beyond on a fun filled record set to move dancefloors and festivals. This track, "Hestia", features on the release, an arpeggio driven affair by JackWasFaster.
