Palms Trax joins LA Priest in remixing Erol Alkan's 'Automatic', the 100th Release on Phantasy Sound.

The landmark hundredth single on Phantasy, Erol Alkan’s ‘Automatic’ returns accompanied with two remixes that further take the London DJ and producer’s psychedelic club vision in distinct directions. The original 12" pressing, limited to 100 and hand-numbered, sold out in less than an hour.

Palms Trax builds on the sensual reverie of Alkan’s production with an electrifying rework full of touches both French and personal. Throwing out a gloriously chic bassline, the Berlin-based producer sprinkles carefully considered sweeps, stabs and filters on a trip to timeless house euphoria.

The inimitable, Detroit-born, UK based producer and DJ, Demi Riquísimo returns to his unbounded Semi Delicious imprint with a 4-track EP with feature vocals from one of London’s most in-demand DJs - Lulah Francs.

Delivering another delectable spread of speaker rumbling house music in a variety of dancefloor flavours, Demi sets off with title track ‘Rush Common’. A steady rolling kick, with his signature live-feel hi-hats are joined by a rumbling 909 groove and massive synth chords and a wandering acid-lead. Simple, effective, fearless house music.

‘Paroche’ brings the authentic Italo-influenced flavours that Demi has become renowned for. Sampled female vocal chants dissect a metric, live drum groove with lush pads and an oozing, wandering arp synth running through the centre. – Demi also includes a huuuuge, Extended Balearic Mix for the bubbling Ibiza terraces throughout the summer.

‘Circulate’ showcases fellow Londoner Lulah Francs vocal leads, across a gnarly FM synth lead and sassy Roland drum groove. Lulah’s enchanting vocals give this one an extra edge to captivate any dancefloor it meets.

‘Don’t Feed The Tiger’ combines Indo-influences with modal vocals and an eastern instrumentation to bask in under the midday sun. A slower tempo from a live-drum groove offers space to move between shaded trees, barefoot in the Balearic sands.

Radio Slave reissues 2000 and One’s naughties house bomb ‘Wan Poku Moro’ with an extended version and a remix by Riva Starr.

A real dance floor anthem, 2000 and One’s vocal house hit ‘Wan Poku Moro’ was initially released as part of his 2009 ‘Heritage’ album on 100% Pure. The track is now getting a reissue as a single, with two new versionspressed on wax via Rekids, an edit from label boss Radio Slave and a remix from Riva Starr.

On the A-side, Radio Slave extends ‘Wan Poku Moro’’s original eight minutes of hyped-up hands-in-the-air house music to the ten-minute mark with Snatch! Records’ Riva Starr remixing the track on the B-side. He returns to Rekids for the first time since his EP with Mark Broom as Star B and reimagines 2000 and One’s track into a late-night warehouse groover, trading its organic percussion for tight, techy drums but maintaining the original’s infectious energy and earworm vocals.

The lights flickered and flashed upon rotation. They would be the driving force behind the city all night long as people came and went throughout the evening. They were the focal point for all else, the flashes that would keep the world moving, non stop.

As the sunlight rose, they would retreat back, folding inward unto themselves.

Those people who walked beneath the sun knew nothing of the world the lights kept safe after dark.

For that was a different time, a different place. One in which only the wanderers and dancers could be found.
