"The fig tree was the big, generous presence in our old home, feeding my family and neighbours every summer," Stella shares. "When we moved to an apartment, we thought we had lost the fig tree. But my mum took a cutting and planted it at our new place. To our surprise, a small fig tree started growing again, as if it had never left."

Martin Glass - The Interstellar Music of Martin Glass [Kit]

Raised on the thundering low-end of south Florida's club music heyday, New Orleans-based 
DJ/producer Redance knows how to move bodies. His ear for percussion and discerning use 
of vocal samples has landed him on Nervous, Major, and Get Up Recordings and now Chinotto 
Records is excited for his debut as the second entry in their Tarocco Singles Club. These two 
tracks show off Redance's more soulful side, pairing his distinctive beats with beguiling synth 
melodies, alluring vocals, and a more demure but still driving bass. A nod to the old school of 
Ron Trent and Prescription but very much from now, both tracks will light up floors. Available

Maltese producer Rebecca Theuma’s project That bb gets a makeover from Yetsuby Manda, one of half of salamanda’s solo project on Wrong Island communications.

There once was a creature called That BB, Who lived on the shores of Wrong Island, you see.
“I Wish I Had Something To Say But I Don’t,” Was the phrase that this creature would constantly flaunt.

The Yetsuby came with remixes so strange, While Wrong Island Communication deranged
All the messages sent by the creatures around,  Resulting in quite an peculiar sound.


 
“Oh fiddle-dee-fumble!” That BB would cry,  As it danced ‘neath the purple-green spots in the sky.
“My Communication is terribly wrong, I can’t seem to finish this nonsensical song!”

So they pranced and they prangled through dew-dabbled dawn, With Communication so curiously drawn.
That BB and Yetsuby on Wrong Island stayed, In gloriously gibberish games that they played.

We’re premiering Yetsuby’s remix of “I Wish I Had Something To Say But I Don’t” from Maltese producer Rebecca Theuma’s project That bb. The track comes from her upcoming EP “The Words Are Stuck In My Throat” on Wrong Island Communications, with Yetsuby (one half of Korean act Salamanda) maintaining the dreamlike original but transforming it into a skittering, drum-laden, handclap madness, wig out. One for the sunrise methinks, whether that’s the end of a very long night or the start of a beautiful new day.

“I wrote these songs while going through a prolonged writer’s block. I had moved to another country and found myself feeling very alone and lost,” explains Theuma. “At this particular point in my life, sounds were better at explaining my inner landscape than words.”

The EP will be released on the ACE Scottish-born, now Lisbon-based label Wrong Island, with artwork by Polish artist Jo Sekieta.

That bb - I Wish I Had Something To Say But I Don't (Yetsuby Remix) - Wrong Island Communication

This is a digital re-release of my TEAC LIFE album I released as a free MP3 download on my website in 2011. Lots of people are asking where they can get a high quality wav version so I decided to put it on my bandcamp and make it NIGHTWIND RECORDS NW012.

I made some fresh artwork so it fits in the Nightwind catalogue and added a bunch of tracks that were produced in the same flow but didnt make it on the original TEAC LIFE album.

If you want it on vinyl there was a quadruple 4xLP version pressed in 2012 and a re-release on colored vinyl in 2013 if I remember correctly, I am sure you can find a copy if you dig a little around because they pressed quite a lot. I think the colored versions were also sold as individual 12"s.

Made entirely on a Yamaha RM1X sequencer and Juno 106 in my old studio in the dunes of Scheveningen on the North Sea coast. Recorded on an old TEAC (Tokyo Electro Acoustic Company) recorder, hence the title.

Having established itself with EPs from Duke Slammer and DMX Krew, Dublin's Modern Magic welcomes Bari's Armonics for the label's third release.  A trained pianist and resident DJ/curator of the We Talk event series in his home city, Armonics draws influence from electronic music across the past 40 years: Chicago & acid house, italo- & electro-disco, new wave, synth-pop and vaporwave. 

His 'Italowave' style is a fusion of these retro-futuristic and cosmic styles, forged through Armonic's production processes which include cassette recordings, vintage synths & modern Korg/Roland gear.  The 'Look Alive' EP is the producer's second release, following a debut on Slow Motion in late 2016.

Accompanying the EP's three original tracks is an anthemic, piano-led remix of 'Red Eye' by International Feel act Black Spuma, aka Lauer (Tuff City KIds/Arto Mwambe) and Fabrizio Mammarella (Telespazio).

The debut EP from Aussie producers Turner Street Sound has finally blossomed! The duo made up of Rory McPike AKA Rings Around Saturn and Ryan Hunter AKA MidnightTenderness first launched the project with "Stoned Mix" on Domestic Documents Vol. 1 in 2016, shaking bass bins in its path. "Bunsen Vol. 1" is a collection of tracks recorded between 14'-17' encapsulating the boys influences with the Turner Street twist.

On the A Side we're served with 3 original tracks spanning from "Mood Lamp" the sci-fi tinged boogie beast you wished lasted for longer, the prime mid-tempo jungle cut "Dunes (Oceanic Mix) for the late night heads and rounding out the A, the rudest track on the EP "With The Lot"

"Glasshouse" rectifies the rudeness with its space pads floating in and out of your head backed by an irresistible beat, but wait...Midnight T's come through with a new "Broken Bones Dub" of Stoned Mix and holy shit does it smoke the system...a future classic for sure! The country was sun kissed and beautiful beneath the glow of the warm raging fire up above. The warmest day of the year had seen them travel from far and wide to the overcrowded beach to slurp upon ice cream and dance amidst the tropical waves in the light of the summer breeze. Temperatures had soared and there was a new lease of life in the people of the small town. The old brickwork which paved the city walls crumbled beneath the heat and soon it might be gloomy and wet once more. So, for now - they danced.
