With this new release, Mascarpone wanted to go deeper into the direction I took on his latest EP Structures.

There’s lots of nods to the great techno-electronic producers of the distant and recent past, he wanted to pay homage to artists such as Dopplereffekt, Model 500, Kraftwerk or even The Hacker.

In other words, "Holigarchy" it’s an ode to futuristic electronic music.

It takes you deeper into dystopian atmospheres and mechanical feelings through some analog sounds, synthesizer and drum machines beats.

One Step Back

Young 26 years old producer who started producing music in the south of France, he began his career at 21 after understanding that analog machines allowed him to create sounds differently than a contact between two physical objects, which is the case with traditional instruments.
Quickly, Alek bought his first synthesizers and spent days and nights to work on, absorbed by the vibrations of his electronic machines, until extracting the spirit of his own music.
Exorcist of his own young asocial devils, and a no doubt vision of an iron and chaotic future, Alek Drive’s music fascinate by a powerful strike force and surgical precision.
After a first EP (“Master Of Road” on Police Records and “Endless” with Edgework), the young French producer decided to merge technique and concept, giving a deepest meaning to his creations. He then left the country for a road trip on the other side of the world, initiatory travel from Nullarbord desert gates to the west coast of the large Australian continent.
In his bag, he doesn’t forget to bring a laptop, filled at the max with sounds made from his synthesizers and beatbox, and while facing the massive Ayers Rock, he decides to send his first album to Unknown Pleasures Records. The remarkable and futuristic result is entitled “Frontière” and will be released for the first time in CD digipack October 1st 2015. This monster of dark and powerful techno is here (CD version):

Alek Drive - Catch

For this next @DarkScienceElectro premiere we check out a new release by @Deemphasis on newcomer label 'Radio Mars (@user-305720076)

Deemphasis is a producer specializing in Acid-drenched Electro. Originally from Northern France, Deemphasis was influenced in the late 80s by German, English, Belgian and Detroit-based Techno sounds.

In this EP, Deemphasis explores some of the feelings one can encounter in a post-apocalyptic world. The opening track is the song selected by @DVSNME to premiere and is called 'My Empire'. The track is clearly oriented towards the dance floor and features prominent use of the TB-303 to drive the track forward and give the track a varied feeling throughout.

Shoulder to shoulder with worms and dirt, the pipework burrowed deep underground, endlessly networking. In the damp, density of the earth all is still and silent. Not for long. Creatures creep. Plates shift. Water works. Blinkered darkness brings whole spectrums of sound and sense. One lonely clap from above can receive raptures of applause below.

Kincaid is continuing a frighteningly prolific string of releases with another on London’s Inside Out records, but this time he’s letting his friends do some of the leg work. It’s a remix EP, with Benedikt Frey, Stevie R & Parisinos and Kris Baha all chiming onto his track 'Pipe Up'. The British producer has already proven himself to be a fierce collaborator. His tendrils reach far and wide to artists as diverse as nu-tech house wizard Urulu aka Liquid Earth, Moscoman’s Disco Halal label and a collaboration with 80s synth pop legends (one of whom is Kincaid's father), Blancmange.

On this latest offering, Kris Baha probes deeper into the slower, sludgier regions with which Kincaid has recently aligned. He strangulates the original - a slick, snail’s-pace psychedelic meditation - into a proto-acid panic of caustic Belgian New Beat.
