Amsterdam's shaman DJs Kiki Toao & Rombout are back with a heavily pumping techno banger from the spiritual hyperspace, Djinn Disco. Djinn "are supernatural creatures in early Arabian and later Islamic mythology and theology. They are not purely spiritual, but also physical in nature, being able to interact in a tactile manner with people and objects and they are also subject to bodily desires like eating and sleeping. Jinn mentioned in Middle Eastern folktales are often depicted as monstrous or magical creatures." And this is how it sounds when they have a party. Features a slowly chuggin and heavily groovin remix by San Francisco's JP Soul, mastermind behind Roam Recordings who had successful releases on Nein Records, Whiskey Disco, Logical Records, a mesmerizing acidic remix by Facets, the man behind Samo Recordings and a pumping early morning club dub remix by Barcelona's Daytona.

For the recent few years @pletnev did a solid statement as a producer with releases for Lithuanian Le Temps Perdu imprint or french labels KUMP and Hard Fist where he always explored a variety of genres melting tribal, EBM and techno into one solid peace of gold. Originally Russian, Pletnev now settled in Vilnius where he represents incredibly booming local scene being a resident of Opium club.

Title tune “No Bad Decisions” is a noisy electronic boogie with drunk arpeggios & filtered bassline. Comemé based @ana-helder delivers more dance floor oriented version of the track.
“Almost Equal” continues the general line of the EP with jumpy boogie beat & tribal percussions. “Norton Commander” makes a perfect balance and adds mystic darkness through running sub bassline & sliding atonal bells. And simple 808 beat makes out of tune a perfect trancy option for the late party hours.

The Bronx born Jake The Rapper has become something of a Berlin legend, following his long exile in the German club capital. His residency at the noto- rious Bar25 will live on in memory, but his musical innovation continues.
Here, he joins Ouïe Circle - the label of Bar25 cohorts Nico Stojan and Acid Pauli - established as an outlet for like minded producers.
This four track EP provides four different takes on Lullaby No.2. The Radio Ver- sion is a funky, mid tempo house cut, featuring Jake’s unmistakable vocals.
Perfectly in keeping with the aesthetic of Ouïe, the track features guitars, keys, and a seductive low key groove.
The full version stretches out over almost 7 minutes, primed for the club.
The remix by Freudenthal (Nein Records, also one half of Berlin based New Wave Duo Pardon Moi) is a more synth heavy take, somehow referencing the best of 80s pop alongside the more psychedelic end of the club spectrum. It’s also presented here in a radio ver- sion - Jake’s mastery of pop sensibilities making it an obvious move for radio play.

We are delighted to launch this series in India in collaboration with SUBMERGE - India’s leading dance music collective founded by Nikhil Chinappa. We at SINCHI got the opportunity to have a conversation on the status of the music scene, culture, gender roles, and various challenges it faces along with India’s unique ability to transform the challenges into opportunities with both Nikhil & collective member Manny, who also curated 3 artists who have put together sets, showcasing a distinctly Indian underground sound that represents the scene in its authentic form. Our 2nd mix from this series is from TOTOROTO (@SKIPSTERMUSIC), the alter ego of DJ SKIP who brings a multidimensional approach to Djing and turntablism. This is what curator Manny has to say about him: He is easily India’s most influential turntablist and one of the most versatile DJs in the country. He is an IDA world No.3, Redbull 3style world finalist, Multiple time DMC India winner besides having numerous other championships under his belt, and the first turntablist in the country to be on an Emmy award-nominated reality show. I invited Skip to stitch 60 mins of different styles of music as only he can sampling Indian instruments, music, and films into his eclectic set.

Who is he?: TOTOROTO is a brainchild of @Skipstermusic also known as DJ SKIP. With this new moniker, DJ skip presents the experimental more independent style of music by combining electronic sounds from analog machines and sampling organic foley sounds as well as old Indian cinema. 

His recent work “Change Hobe Pro Scene from his latest EP  East Ended Play got great response also it was the first-ever Bangla (Regional Language) Track to feature on VH1 India. 

In the field of music for more than 16 years he has managed to gain a reputation of being one of the most technical and versatile DJ in the industry.  With 5 national championship titles under his belt he has also claimed the title for NO.3 DJ in the world in the IDA world DJ championship held in Poland. His debut album Bass & Tings (2016) was highly appreciated by the DJ industry and the tracks had been used by major fashion labels for their collection as well.
