Tapes Sublimating is a Budapest-based electronic music label, releasing cool tracks on cassette, vinyl, and digital format since 2016. They land for the first time on our platform with a cutting-edge four-track EP by the secretive and mysterious project Diamond Hazed. “Words Can’t” brings one bouncing and upbeat original plus three insightful and interesting remixes made with love by The Donna Smith Experience, Mr. Fiel, and Streako & B-Squit.

Premiered here, the stunning Disco-infused version by Slovakia-Born, Hungary-based artist Imre Kiss created under his The Donna Smith Experience moniker. The seasoned producer, using his real name, has already appeared on plenty of vital labels such as Lobster Theremin, Dalmata Daniel, and Slam City Jams, just to name a few. Under the new alias, the output has been a little bit shy so far, but slowly things will get hot in here as well – hopefully.

Respecting the “good vibes” of the original but with a more minimalistic attitude, The Donna Smith Experience’s remix brings a cosmic aura to the theme with its dreamy pads and stardust-ish FXs resulting in the most dance-floor-oriented piece of the EP.

Fresh from starting his own label Insult To Injury, Timothy Clerkin returns to Ransom Note Records with the 'Knife Edge Heart' EP! Having already previewed Gabe Gurnsey's remix of the title track, we're very happy to finally present the original ahead of the full EP release tomorrow.

A departure from Timothy's usual facemelting techno, ‘Knife Edge Heart’ stands as an unabashed pop song whose shimmering exterior is cut through with flashes of steely darkness. Frequent collaborator Natalie Reiss’ glacial voice is held at the perfect level of remove, while Timothy allows his love of shoegaze to blossom with a guitar line that seems to extend like a ladder to the stars.

The machine was magnificent, the flickering switches and the magnetic fizz of electricity was bold and profound. This was a computer and it had the potential to change the world. Upon the monitor flashed a series of letters and numbers in a multitude of variations and patterns, it were as if it had a deeper knowledge of each icon and their respective meanings than a human might ever have found. The base of the machine was warm to the touch, hard at work with prosperity and vigour. This was a new age. 

Kофе aka Kofe aka Coffee were a pioneering Russian new wave band whose LP was recently reissued by Baran Records / Other Voices Records. Now it is followed by a reissue and two new edits from Lithuanian producer KGBK.
