The Zanza Project celebrates the spirit of life. It's an accumulation of feelings translated down into melodies and harmonies that reflect a particular view about the World and Space we music lovers occupy. If it is true that Music sets the soul free, then at its least, Zanza reinforces the theory in a very compelling way. It draws from all the share emotions on why we consider Music to be special and vital to our lives. 

The „Wonderland" album is composed and produced by Jeff Mills, originally from  Detroit where he learned percussion and drums at an early age who became to be a world-renowned producer and figure of Techno Dance Music but who was  greatly inspired by the Jazz Rock Fusion, New Wave and  Industrial Body Music bands of the 1970 and 80s. We can see its influence in the  way he approaches Dance music today - the genre of music and form in which he's  became and still remains highly noted for. Here, Mills clearly displays his skill as a composer/musician. A side of him where his wider understanding of music and how can speak to people is purposely exposed. Its safe to say that Zanza is the "total amount of" and even with the producer himself it would be valid to say that "Jeff Mills, the person we know as The Wizard, Underground Resistance and played so many pivotal roles in the history of Electronic Dance Music is in fact the "accumulation of". 

The masterplan of it was and still remains to create a band, a collective mixture of Jazz, Latin Jazz and Electronic Music musicians under the moniker of Zanza. Which in Islam means "most beautiful". The numeric reference: "22" refers to the year in which this new music is created and presented (2022: forthcoming "Wonderland LP"). In the album, you hear reflections of works by Sergio Mendes, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Pete Escovedo, Candido, Herbie Hancock, Larry Heard and waves to the genre of Acid Jazz. Live performances are a large part of the way compositions were created so that the players could learn, rehearse and translate the compositions in live presetnations. Throughout the album, it is not hard to hear how Mills displays more of his relationships with Jazz, Italo Disco, Samba, and his long, but discreet history with composing more structures works like classical arrangements and film soundtracks.

For its 303rd release, Tresor Records is glad to present a commissioned work by Donato Dozzy.

Rome based production maestro and DJ extraordinaire Donato Dozzy is unanimously considered as an illustrious leading light in all techno artforms.

Along his long career and extensive discography, Dozzy has proven to use his instruments most interesting ways, always re-inventing his music, always presenting new approaches to both the deeper and the more rhythmic forms of electronic music. It was self-evident to Tresor Records to enroll Donato Dozzy’s talents for this assignment, a nod to the seminal Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer.

The result is a relentless collection of radical, propulsive and bleeding-heart acid tracks. In Dozzy’s words.

Donato Dozzy wishes to dedicate this work to his lifelong friend Filo.

Further expeditions into spacey and celestial techno can be found on Blue Veil’s second EP for Dichotomy Records. Danny Clancy’s new project assembles four measured and characteristic tracks on the “Natural Boundary” EP, all wrapped up in Dichotomy’s bespoke design aesthetic on the 12” vinyl.
“Three Horsemen Of The Apocalypse” offers a beautiful contrast of dark and light via a heady, acidic techno flavour aginst ethereal vocals, and “Broken Pieces” delivers delicate electronica bathed in glorious melody. The atmosphere remains celestial throughout “Measure Of Time”, with driving toms marching through a blanket of deep, melancholic synths, whilst “Light Mask” signs off the EP with a rhythmic and percussive workout that teases with its blissful tones.
