Melbourne based producer GREETINGS heads up Boots & Legs – an Italo focused label whose aesthetics float somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow – releasing records from Furor Exótica, Kayroy and more, and now he readies his Running Out Of Steam debut with four house and electro-fused dreamscapes.

Staying true to the label aesthetic of blending killer club grooves with introspective atmospherics, ‘ALONE’ is a cut of trance-licked house, M1 chords providing a disco-ball euphoria across the minimal, yet vibrant, soundscape. ‘Desires’ sees GREETINGS blend his admiration for Italo into a heavenly, 80s pop-ballroom experience designed for when the lights go on.

The B-side brings out the producer's electro influence; ‘That Was A Weird Summer’ is as Italo as it is otherworldly – a sound similar to what might be heard if aliens discovered disco – before ‘Don’t Die Wondering’ closes the curtain with a cut of stirring and transcendental analog-electro that's as rough as it is smooth.

Cafe de la Jungle returns with Tuvan Spirits EP for Dans de la Desert, exploring further his fascination with shamanic practices in highly dynamic sound environments.

While his excellent debut Dancing with Cicadas was rife with dangerous and mysterious rhythms, the Kraków-based producer takes a more laid back approach this time. Built around cavernous ambiance and bass notes played with such grace they paint a picture of a dance ritual so subtle, it’s visceral and highly narrative at the same time. While the bass ballet of “Kus” opens the record in a beautiful and stoic way, its followup—the percussive “Chas”—takes on a playful approach as it’s juxtaposing throat singing samples with jaw harp-like one off sounds bouncing off skittery beats. “Kysh” on the other hand puts Zajac’s mastery of modular sculpting to such a high that you might change your opinion about Italians being the masters of dubby, ambient techno you can drown in.

To top off the EP in a spectacular way, Cafe de la Jungle invited Toulouse Low Trax who turned “Kysh” into his trademark mechanical style, achieving a fascinating combination of off-kilter clockwork precision and long-forgotten folklore of unknown lands.

Double Ten Day (10/10) in Taiwan has evolved throughout the years into a national day celebrating Taiwan's self-reliant progress, and its distinct culture. Commemorating this, Jin Records will release a unique compilation with five Taiwan-based producers celebrating the island. Crossing the musical spectrum, it showcases the diversity of Taiwan's electronic music scene.
To celebrate further, we will donate 50% of the revenue to the Taiwanese NGO Green Citizen's Action Alliance (GCAA) 綠色公民行動聯盟. This organization focuses on environmental issues and seeks to preserve Taiwan's unique biodiversity.

Another world lay beneath the dark, murky waters; one unseen by human eyes and untouched by human hands. Though the surface remained placid and still, below there was much more at play. Strange creatures and amphibious beings lurked and whispered in strange tongues amongst the sea grass that cast its leaves high overhead, viciously swaying as one when the current passed through. It was clear that there were cunning plans being masterminded down here, ones that could overthrow everything on solid ground...

Los Pulpitos is the brainchild of Dirk Leyers from Africaine 808 and Felipe Salmón of Dengue Dengue Dengue fame. Born in the depths of the pandemic, the two talented friends and "tentacle tech" originators fuse their harmonic love of polyrhythmic percussion, dub-wise vibrations and traditional Candomblé and Cumbia rhythms on this 12" for Terra Magica Records. But that's not all, within these bubbling creations there's so many more influences at play: a little bit of psychedelia, a peppering of Ragga and breaks as well as some dubstep and UK bass wobble, to rattle off a few - it's music to move your body and soothe your mind.

They felt a thousand eyes burning into their back of their head, hushed whispers containing their names echoed off the walls - there was nowhere else they'd rather be than here in this very moment. It was clear they had no alliances anymore, let alone a soul they could call a friend. Their names had been sullied, tarnished, dragged through the mud and what for? Unproved rumours, myths and falsities... They were outsiders now, strangers in their own homes.

Datafive and Slak started their Lab Music imprint back in 2019, each taking care of the inaugural and sophomore EPs one at a time. For their third they combine forces for a collaborative release that showcases both sides of their influences: the introspection of Datafive's output and Slak's break-techno mutations. It's a marriage made in heaven in our opinion, beyond their own distinctive flavours, the pair play with moody, dub-wise sounds and broken rhythms and glitchy electronics.
