Your journey begins with a hypnotic seduction, stoking the flames of desire as the voice in your head whispers, Want it so badly. Dark and sexy, the flames get higher. The walls sweat on your descent as you lose control. Flood lights sweep over the crowd of bodies, cutting through smoke.

For several years now ISLA has been serving up the best in ambient, experimental and trance-driven creations, welcoming artists like Ambien Baby, D.Tiffany, Pillow Queen, NAP and Le Fe to the label. Next up they've called on Maara for 'A Potion Activated', marking her second EP following a debut on Priori and Ex-Terrestrial's NAFF imprint. Backed up by a remix and a collaboration from two label affiliates D.Tiffany and NAP, the release teeters 'between heaven and hell', delivering five trance-inducing rides into purgatory.

Aaaaaand, we are back. It’s that time of the year when TAU unveils another instalment of our huge compilation series - Spektrum. Now on Volume 4, this various artists series is our channel for showcasing the diversity of the label, introducing new artists to the world and celebrating our existing family members here on Planet TAU. 

As always, you can expect the unexpected - an eclectic range of releases that all represent the retro futurism at the core of our label’s sonic identity. Across 16 tracks you’ll be immersed in the world of TAU, so prepare to enter a whole new dimension of sound. 

This is Spektrum 4... another mega compilation of TAU flavours from an international line up of super talented artists. Every cut has been selected for its quality, roadtested on tour and curated for this extra special collection. We hope you enjoy Spektrum 4 as much as we enjoyed putting it together!

TAU037 | Phunkadelica - Disphunzione

Teemon & Poomba, a Madrid duo that is dominating the booths of the capital, signs this new reference of Musica Cavernicola. Three original tracks that, on the one hand, display the particular style of their creators, and on the other, show their possibilities and skills.

Nine Bad Decisions feat. Antinoë is in charge of opening the release to which it also gives its name. In just a short time, the nature of the track is made clear. The Indie Dance sounds, the eighties boxes, the arpeggiated bass, the subtle and enveloping pads and the impressive voice of the vocalist from Madrid, Antinoë, do the rest.

Phunkadelica, one of the most fashionable duos in Europe, has done one of the two remixes that accompanies this song. Making use of a very personal lead and boasting the subtlety, elegance, care and common sense that characterizes them, they manage to elevate the track to a completely new dimension.

The other remix is by SOSANDLOW’s, the owners of the label. This time the duo have opted for more club terrain, giving the rhythm more aggressiveness and weight. Special mention goes to the saturated basses and the monophonic arpeggios in delay that, within an acid sound framework, introduce the theme in a spiral.

The release continues with the original track Will Never Mind feat. Antinoë. On this occasion, Teemon & Poomba prefer to give us a more timeless sound with a long-term development in which the synth melody plays a fundamental role.

Finally, there is The Blast, an absolutely captivating track that is full of personality. The devastating bass, the arpeggiated melodies and the melody combined with the lead are a trap you fall into to let yourself go without resistance to the afterlife.

Nehza Records shares its seventh release, Hybrid, by Naarm-based artist Mabel, out on 23rd June

Melbourne's Mabel makes her Nehza Records debut with five tracks that blur the lines between psytrance, progressive house, breakbeat and tech house, culminating into one psychedelic trip. Mabel titles each track after a hybrid animal, hence the EP's name Hybrid, aligning the release with Nehza's vision of telling stories about nature through electronic music. With this in mind, Mabel conjures impressions of forest and beachside raves, dancing with creatures that lurk just beneath.

FIRE UP: Fifteen successful releases later, Anetha continues to fan the flames with MTY-FEU, an incandescent new compilation. Titled «Ils s’embrasèrent, réduits ensemble», the release stands for fusion and oneness.

Bursting from the depths of the earth, magma is devouring: melting hot techno, deep techno, fast techno, firestorms of trance, eruptions of hard groove, break, mental, smoldering experimental… MTY-FEU is a lava flow of boiling, vital energy, unstoppable and full of blistering textures.

During the Nuit Blanche (A1), we surrender. We, the offer. Our fire is combusting. Our feet, stomping.
Berserk, in a fury, there’s No End (C1) to this party. In a trance, Eternal Echoes (E2) beguiles us all, until we become one into the Molten Core (H2) of Inferno. Ils s’embrasèrent, réduits ensemble.

The incredibly talented visual artist FEMUR crafted the artwork by creating an AI-generated meta-crackle of fire. Diplomatie Studio handled the design while mastering was entrusted to Sixbitdeep, except for Anetha’s edit, where mix and mastering credits go to Le Dom. We’ve opted for bio-vinyls for this release, knowing that one day these records will return to ashes, only to rise again, like the phoenix.
