From Antoni: "Some of these tracks date back to the Berlin days, but ended up being finished in The Hague. A sort of melancholic electro-disco trip with post-goth-punk-wave guitars and a guest appearance from AC Meadows. Super happy to have the first Maiovvi dance album out since 'Driftmusic' - The masters sound great and I'm sure the vinyl will sound equally as good."

Everywhere you looked kaleidoscopic colours greeted you, from the shop fronts and myriad of towering signs to the flurry of people going about the daily business on their vibrant automobiles and bicycles. It was difficult to make it from point A to point B without stopping to take in the sights around you, let alone making your way through the bustling crowd. It was a treat for the senses, a harmonic chaos...

For their first full release, New Delhi-based techno imprint Qilla Records welcome modular synth enthusiast and sound synthesist Monophonik. Always seeking to push the boundaries of electronic music, he crafts meticulously designed rhythms and complex chord voicings, that continuously defy categorisation. His forthcoming Resume Form EP reflects the bustling streets of the Indian capital, where automobiles, vibrant inhabitants and the occasional cow exist in harmony. Sonically this is imagined through Monophonik's improvisational experiments; a carefully controlled chaos of delicate synth movements, sub drones and broken rhythms.

Reaching the motorway she pushed her foot down hard on the accelerator, feeling the cool evening breeze drifting through the open windows. She loved driving at night. The roads were quiet, peaceful and gave her room to process her thoughts and feelings. It had become a nightly ritual and her purest form of escapism...

French duo, music platform and label Les Yeux Orange embark on the first instalment of their new Driving Blind compilation series. Following solo releases from the likes of M.S.L., Earth Trax & Newborn Jr. and Mytron & Ofofo, LYO cast their net far and wide for a lovingly curated compilation of boundary-pushing electronics from artists across the globe, including contributions from Cardopusher, Errortica, Timothy J. Fairplay, The Populists and Tecwaa.

This Is Our Time welcomes Aspetuck from the US to their label family with 'The Time Capsule Experiment' EP. His three original tracks are ranging from house, breakbeat to electro but all of them come with a nice twist. Jazzy chord & odd vocoder sounds accompany a cosmic soundscape on the EP starter 'Lift Point' and with tweaked chirps & eastern strings on a bare breakbeat, 'The Time Capsule Experiment' is definitely the most leftfield one on this EP. Closing off the release is the sinister electro 'Solace' of which we can only imagine a demon-summoning tribal ritual was the inspiration.
The EP comes with two remixes. Jeigo's rethinking of the title track is a meetup of two worlds: an aerial stomper for closing your set in the early morning hours. The dubby trance remix of 'Lift Point' is from the label boss Route 8 - his synth pads have never been so trippy like this!

In September, Polymath's label head Third Son is landing on Pets Recordings' sub label STEP with his brand new 'Mimeo EP'.

The fresh imprint STEP (brainchild of Catz N' Dogz) is about to drop another record, this time coming from Third Son, the mind behind the Polymath label. This EP follows the previous successful records coming from Nørus, Das Komplex, Metropolitan Soul Museum and more. Third Son's 'Mimeo EP' is a collection of 4 analogue dancefloor oriented tracks, showcasing the artists predilection for using machines for crafting his on-point productions.

The EP starts with 'Kant Stop Philosophising', driven by a 4/4 groove and a cheeky synth melody alongside an hypnotic vocal sample. The second track, 'Find Yourself a Cato', is a deeper and more Techno oriented cut, in which perfectly programmed percussion loops merge with trippy synth-lines. The title track is another killer cut, guided by a rumbling, rough and ready bass line. The record closes with 'Everybody Hertz', a timeless Detroit-inspired groovy track.

Label head Random Alias shapes the first release “Innerchild”. A dancefloor killer A Side! Sawl's crispy bass waves create a
dense acid feeling and sets the ground for Hibiscus to impact with its futuristic electro patterns and aggressive sharp drums. On the flip side Basilisk runs fast, with glitchy fills and metallic percussions in an almost ethereal atmosphere. Innerchild closes the record with a deep melodic journey modeled across euphoric sequences of notes, leaving a warm and wistful feeling...almost like coming back home.
