This feels familiar to me, which I really love

From the back of the theatre stalls, she watched intensely, unable to tear her gaze away from the performance playing out on stage. The group of dancers moved so effortlessly, as if they were floating on air. Their limbs intertwined with one another creating beautiful shapes and figures upon the white backdrop; each silhouette as elegant as the next. She was totally beguiled by their movement, how their motion was so attuned - it felt like they were one entity, weightlessly flowing in unison.

Kalam Hub marks the fifth release on Palms Trax's Cooking With Palms Trax (CWPT) label, a platform for his own music and like-minded contemporaries. Conceived by Dublin-based producer Moving Still, the six-track EP continues his sonic exploration of his Saudi Arabian and Irish heritage that we've previously heard on a stellar collection of 12" edits and releases for Jive Hive and Nail Shop. A master of melody and rhythm, Moving Still marries traditional Middle Eastern melodies and tight, driving bass lines with a sprinkling of his varied influences from Italo and dub to breakbeat and electro.

Legalize Lambada is back and there ain’t no moldy gorgonzola in this Italo homage!

Legendary cosmic captain Albion returns to Lambada-land and starts this edit compilation with “Nucleare”, a robotic jam seasoned with Italian vocals which serves as a great introduction. 
  
Ric Piccolo’s “Disco teacher” on A2 and “Alright” on B1 are serious floor fillers, possibly ready to injure part of the Boston dynamics fleet after inducing uncontrollable dance moves.

At the end it’s Hysteric’s “Moment” on B2 that prompts a soulful side of italo for some deep machine learning.

UK landmark label 20:20 Vision headed up by underground hero Ralph Lawson, continues to keep his ears to the ground, signing LA 3-piece ASHRR to the imprint.

Sun-kissed swagger, psychedelic hues, dosed up on a reflective euphoria experienced through a modern lens, ASHRR arose from LA’s bubbling musical underbelly in 2018. Comprised of Ethan Allen, Josh Charles, and Steven Davis, ASHRR was a chance for these three to let loose, distilling down soul- infused, funked-up space disco, new wave and indie electronica. Melodic, cosmic disco feels with an injection of a post-punk edge, synthesised and hazy yet with an analogue authority. Ethan and Josh work their magic at the controls, while Steven’s luscious vocal provides an illuminating aura.

Next single ‘Different Kind of Life’ lands on wax with remixes from the longstanding figurehead of Berlin’s electronic music culture ‘Massimiliano Pagliara’. With releases across Meakusma, Ostgut Ton, Cocktail d'Amore, in addition to holding a residency at the iconic Panorama Bar, Massimiliano Pagliara has established himself as one of the most innovative figures in house and techno today.

ASHRR adds to Massimiliano’s re-works with a ‘Soundsystem Version’ that wraps up another unmissable outing from the LA trio that is laced throughout with their unique sun-kissed swagger.
