Making their debut on Future Disco, French Electronic trio, Jabberwocky deliver with two summer-ready Nu-Disco weapons.

‘Inner Space’ jumps straight into the action with a dance-inducing bassline that commands the track, paving the way for the colourful sun-soaked instrumentation which gradually progresses, spiralling into a euphoric crescendo. Italo drums and 80s pads bring the retro fun factor whilst never taking away from the track’s fresh feel.

‘Apollo Club’ is also drenched in 80s Italo euphoria with a Funky Town-esque bassline and a contagiously catchy hook which will no doubt send dancefloors into a frenzy.

After two albums released on Polydor/Universal Music, four years of touring, and millions of views on streaming platforms and Youtube, the trio have veered into a more electronic sphere, inspired by sci-fi films, Italo Disco, House music. Their debut release on Future Disco is set to soundtrack summer dancefloors in 2021 and beyond.

Founder of the multi-disciplinary imprint KCZ/CZT/KCZX, Ben Kaczor delivers his six-track ‘Sun Chapter One’ LP via the platform this April.

Basel, Switzerland based artist Ben Kaczor is the founder of KCZ/CZT/KCZX, a border crossing project encompassing his collaborative approach to production, performance and visual art, and over the years has been unveiling his hypnotic twist on techno and performing across Europe and Asia as well as operating as night manager and booker at Chinese underground institution TAG in Chengdu. Over the years he’s gained support from the likes of Japan’s Wata Igarashi, Tripeo aka Darko Esser and Music From Memory artist Michael Turtle, a striking sign of his ability to craft intricate, emotive and powerful techno.

‘Lights’ opens the project with a delicate billowing pad and pulsating subs at its core while pops, clicks, whirrs and chimes ebb and flow within the ten-minute composition. ‘The Fool’ follows and tips the focus over to raw saturated drums, dubbed out chords sequences and an intricately unfolding resonant synth line throughout. ‘Passage’ then strips things back to stuttering chords and ethereal swells driving the arrangement amongst muted drums and minute percussive hits.

Opening the second half of the album is ‘Spinning Wheels’, edging into darker territories via a menacing bass groove, bubbling delays and skippy drums, while tripped out voices and ornate modulations wind within. ‘Alternation’ then leans aesthetically back towards a hypnotic, low-slung feel as subtly nuanced, vacillating chord flutters and wandering twitchy synths float atop shuffled drums. ‘Chronos’ then rounds out the release, employing a more classic dub techno feel through atmospheric hiss, rounded subs, boomy kick and dusty off beat hi-hat.

Tee Mango, aka Tom Mangan, drops three unique house jams, featuring his own vocals on a cpl. My pick of the pack is the title track that belies its name, going for a deep, smooth, key-laden house sound. Nice stuff. Coming on Paris-based label Ano Ano.

The sound of people was all around. The traffic lights flickered from red to green and the masses charged between pavements like a great herd. The sound of horns and sirens bounced excitedly between the towering heights of skyscrapers and the dim grey sky shone fuzzily above. This was human music, the sound of a city and the noise of a far gone land. Somewhere the grass was greener and the air did not hang so heavy like smog laden dew but it was not this place. 

Nathan Surreal makes his first appearance on Biologic Records as he delivers two tracks of high energy house music. The EP is concluded by the appearance of two remixes from Neville Watson and Adesse Versions.

@NeinRecords label boss Tronik Youth aka Neil Parnell debuts on @Roam-Recordings with his new EP Tunnel of Hate. Over the years Tronik Youth has made an indelible mark in dance music through his many and varied outstanding productions, his seminal monthly radio show, and his prolific record label.

The Tunnel of Hate EP showcases two original offerings from the artist. The title track starts the collection with 80s tinged industrial disco while Insecticide blasts of post apocalyptic electro punk.

The EP also comes with three excellent and diverse remixes. Mexican producer @Rigopolar, known for his stunning productions on labels such as Tom Tom Disco and Spa in Disco, takes on Tunnel of Hate and remixes it into an epic dark disco number that begs for smoke machines and lasers. The second remix comes from none other than legendary dance music innovator The Hacker and rounding out the EP is a remix from Australian duo Stockholm Syndrome.

This is one of our stand out releases of 2017 and all tracks combine into a cohesive dark, disco, industrial, new beat infused offering perfect for smoky warehouse parties, dim lit after parties, and edgy late night affairs.

This is the original A Visitor From Another Meaning remix of Machinegewehr's 'Abhinanda' from 2012 with female vocals by Gees Voorhees. The original vocals were replaced by Fred Ventura in 2013 and this rework of 'Abhinanda' became 'Neon Light'. This resulted in a split EP: Machinegewehr/A Visitor From Another Meaning with Fred Ventura and became Machinegewehr's debut record which was released on Bordello a Parigi in 2014. After 8 years the original remix with its original vocals by Gees Voorhees has been excavated and so here it is in its full beauty...get it here:
