This highly sought after version of Low Tension originally released on the 'La Ronde' EP on BPM Records Japan in 1991, has been remastered for single release for the first time. Also features a stripped back rework by cult Japanese producer Yukihiro Fukutomi and Alexander Bradley himself with an extended deep, dubby and melodic Utopian mix. The mythical deep house works of Japanese producers such as Nagayama and Terada have become folklore with the latter's production for Nami Shimada entitled 'Sunshower' (featuring Larry Levan mix) his most recognized work. Pressed Loud and Limited on a 180 gram vinyl 12" with its original beautiful stunning artwork on a full picture sleeve - all the trimmings by Phonica / Vinyl Factory London. 'Runaway' is a more relaxed affair, with subtle piano chords transitioning into a warm bass-line under sweeping orchestral parts and an emotive vocal. This piece is a real journey from an understated intro to it's euphoric peak.

The new EP on Saturn Return is produced by Rowee and Nuiton and is a quality piece of music. ‘Lost Forest’ is a surreal march through a range of metaphorical textures. Endless permutations of rhythm, beat, percussion and a caustic voice are the main elements for more than 10 minutes. An additional acid synth finally emerges, breaking the rules of the beat. It’s romantic, hypnotic and strikes the perfect balance between angular rhythms and dreamy melodies. ‘Description of a Dream’ exudes ethereal patterns and nature like sounds. The prominent bassline includes plenty of water drops and build ups... this track seems to stretch out endlessly into the distance.

Fur Coat’s Oddity label starts 2021 with a fresh edition of the acclaimed various artists “Odd Echoes Vol.4”. This instalment showcases some artists that are already known to the label, as well as many new additions to the family.

Fur Coat’s commitment to their label over the last few years has seen the imprint amass a dedicated following and an ever growing list of respected and lauded releases. Utilising their Various Artists compilations, the duo have unearthed some extremely exciting talent in this world and given emerging artists a platform to exhibit their craft.

Diving into the package we are greeted with the melodic and emotional sounds that Oddity has their recognisable stamp. Its clear though that each artist involved has developed their own signature sound and presents something unique to the VA. The first half is formed of well crafted tracks which ease us into the sound. Tracks the build and develop over time and help to kick start out musical exploration.

In true Oddity style the second half of the package leans towards darker and more driving pieces. Casting the listeners mind to the dancefloors which the tracks were meant to be played on. Its a VA formed of 21 original tracks mostly from first timers on the label, that all together solidify the identity of the series and sound of Oddity.
