The first release of Escape Artist’s new imprint is a various artists affair brought together by the power of friendship. After years of being sent amazing music by new and old friends from near and afar, the time has come to share this joy with the rest of the world. As a label, we will seek to shine a light on psychedelic music of all designs and the first release will focus on the dance variety. It is the label’s hope that the love and friendship that brought this project together will shine through in the music. 

Grim Beazley’s ‘Acid Leaf’ evokes a memory of crowded peak time floors. The song’s gentle introduction gives way to powerful 303/909 interplay and leaves us yearning to go back to that place.

Bunzinelli has been personally involved in serving sonic treats to the world via his label and mix series Chambre Noire. He was also part of the team behind Cosmic Tones which in 2019 released 'Montreal Pleiades' featuring his first musical outing alongside local major players Priori, Dust-e-1, URA, Temple's M. Salaciak & R. Weng (the wizard behind our first release as Dj Medallion).

Heady nights spent gyrating under flashing lights to pulsing rhythms, writhing freely as the sweat forced your hair to stick firmly to your forehead. These were all but memories now; the distant dream of clubland was a blur, a nostalgic trip that circled the mind but couldn't touch down in reality. But their imaginations kept them going until that first dance back because it would be one to remember for years to come.

After a brief intermission from releasing records to share Ece Özel's 'Expansion of Change' mix cassette into the world, Berlin's Warning are heating things up again with a new VA bringing together established and mysterious producers, forming the "North Rhine-Westphalia Trance Alliance". That probably gives you a clue to the rave-imbued sonics you can expect across the release, with trance, tribal, breakbeat and electro cuts from Phaser Boys, Chaos Milieu, DJ-Ungel and Zonza Grind — heed the label's warning (pun intended): they are "not responsible for any fire damage in your ear canals".

With bright chords, pumping rhythms, and gripping bass lines, the fast-rising talent Aldonna emerges from Melbourne’s underground with her ‘Morph’ EP, including remixes from Alex Kassian and Marli, set for release via the always reliable HOMAGE label.

Having cut her teeth in Melbourne's lively community with her party series Re-Leaf and as a fixture on the Australian club circuit, Aldonna’s sound is clearly supercharged with dancefloor energy. And her passion hasn't gone unnoticed. Cosigns from the likes of BICEP, who tapped her to contribute to their acclaimed ‘Feel My Bicep’ mix series, prove she’s been an artist to watch for some time. Now with her debut EP, she introduces her own distinct sound which traverses seamlessly through nostalgic trance motifs and hyper ravey breaks. Aldonna is clearly making a push to be an unstoppable force in clubland.

The EP leads off with ‘Nights In Shizuoka’ and a rugged rhythm laying the foundation for arpeggiated synths building until a mystical pan flute carries the ballad to heavenly heights. Throughout the release, Aldonna showcases a knack for playing with a multitude of sonic textures, and the next track titled 'Air Sign' possesses layers of immersive textures, from tight acid lines to bubbling ambiance, haunting vocal chops, and warm emotive melodies layered over pumping breaks for an ecstatic anthem. The a-side concludes with 'For All That We Know' as a tight bass line sets the stage for Aldonna to build on her playful aesthetic with a shimmering and exuberant melody.

On the flip side, Aldonna goes full rave mode with 'The Empress' Acid Line', leading with chopped breaks before an infectious acid riff creeps and builds with seductive vocals, delivering massive energy that is palpable. Following the originals is a remix by Berlin-based Love On The Rocks mainstay Alex Kassian who aims his version of 'The Empress' Acid Line' at the most euphoric dancefloor moments and delivers a tried and true trancey euro-house weapon not to be overlooked. Rounding out the release is Melbourne’s own Marli who flips 'Air Sign' with a rumbling bass line to reveal a bumping house cut that will satisfy the most vibrant crowds in the dance.

The 18th segment of Haŵs' sonic anthology comes from the US-born electronica wunderkid Anderson! After featuring on the label's 'Viral Syndicate' digital compilation series back in 2020, they had him in the crosshairs for a full release ever since.

The result? A brilliant 4 track EP filled with dynamic proggy goodness, acid squelches and intoxicating house rhythms, unmistakably inspired by the 90s and stamped with the signature Anderson sound.

An EP of limbo-inducing squelch courtesy of our good friends Latrec aka Andy Bainbridge and Serious Hots, ft. techno flavoured remixes from Bristolian pal Remotif & our very own Matt Cowell & Johnny Aux as The W.C. Enjoy.

In the furthest reaches of the cosmos, the intergalactic community gathers for the annual Kutika Limbo finals. Reigning champion Latrec draws the first straw and the percussion rolls excitedly as he steps up to the pole.

Kutika glides lithely under the bar, tentacles wobbling to the acid rhythm. He celebrates his victory as the crowd chants in a glitchy alien dialect. “Kutika-tika-tika-tika!”

Second in line, Latrec’s younger brother Dub Mix steps up for his first limbo. Shorter and stockier than his brother, we don’t know what to expect from this one. Once again the percussion rolls, the crowd gasps as his squidgy exoskeleton melts before their eyes, reforming on the other side of the bar - ‘blooooop’. The crowd goes wild “Kut-Kut!”

Next up is The W.C. Events take a strange turn as they forgo the competition, instead they walk to the stage to sweep the band aside, hijacking control of the instruments. Heavy percussive hits twist spacetime with material melting bass throbs. The crowd goes wild as the fabric of reality collapses around them.

Last but by no means least is Remotif, a techno unit resembling a giant cluster of biceps stands staring at the limbo pole, chaos erupting around him. The tempo of the percussion rises in anticipation and acid thunder roars in the background. Remotif picks up the bar, blinks, and hurls it off into the furthest reaches of the galaxy never to be seen again.
