The Revolving Eyes, aka cult DJ duo Rob ’n’ Zoopsie should need no introduction to the more discerning fan of underground European disco. Having recently resurrected their own Moderne Recordings label the duo bring their sophisticated party manoeuvres to Wrong Era for the first time. A five track E.P that touches on the classic sounds of Chicago, Electronica and Wave with a distinctly European twist the Belgian duo are a much welcomed addition to the family

The noise echoed as the tree fell thundering to the forest floor. It was as if a great giant had tumbled triumphantly from heaven from amidst the clouds. Many had stood to watch as the green shadows fell one by one but few were there to see the last of the trunk topple. One by one the trees in the forest would fall, it was there job to burn them down with a brazen disregard for life. Come rain or shine they marched outwards into the jungle, losing themselves within the darkness before the fall of yet another. This was planet earth, the new laurentide and all. 

Pixelife is set to self release a new album. The announcement comes fresh off tbe back of an EP for Samo Records and follows previous contributions to the likes of Horn Wax and Throne of Blood.

GLR029 Mijo - Disk Machine 1 EP (Excerpts)

2018 starts with Wolfram for Public Possession. Maxi Single PP026 features “Automatic Dub”. Powerful new-italo that will heat up any given dancefloor in no time. The "Automatic dub", which is a rework of a well known canadian 70's underground hit, is accompanied by two remixes, courtesy of Samo DJ and Alexi3d. More subtle yet equally effective acid versions including dreamy vocal and stop/pause scat madness.

PREMIERE : Wolfram - Automatic Dub

For its second release of 2018, Days Of Being Wild welcomes London duo Super Drama.
What strikes us immediately with “Affected Elegance” is Super Drama’s taste for an analog and rough production - the tracks have a “straight to tape” live feel far from the carefully computer constructed productions you tend to hear these days. There is a rough and ready attitude to their new wave and Italo tinted sound, with disco bass-lines and DX7 pads and bells melodies.
The title track could easily be an 1986 New Order b-side with its balearic pads, disco bass line and “Blue Monday” kick, while “Hausu” with its female vocals and retro drum machines sounds like a forgotten Italo instrumental mix. Black Rose follows in the same vein of twisted disco noir with its pitched down voice over a pulsing bass line. Closing the EP, we find old pal Kiwi remixing “Affected Elegance”. Kiwi keeps in with the old school electronic disco vibe but brings his own unique style of modernity taking the track to stratospheric disco heights, stripping down to its core to build it back to an emotional climax.
