The three tracks for this EP are lovingly crafted using his collection of vintage drum machines, samplers and expansive modular setup, and are presented in both stereo and Dolby Atmos. Opener 'havin it' is quick-stepping, low slung house cut lit up with glistening chords and gorgeous soul samples that shine through next to low-key but euphoric 90s trance progressions. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside while remaining locked to the groove. 'lush' is just that, with summery harp strums shimmering across dusty and speedy deep house drums that sweep you up and fill your heart with hope and joy. It's a richly layered sound with a curiousness that truly enchants. Lastly, 'WNE' straightens your back with upright and snappy drums, woody percussion and frayed edged chords that have a cosy nostalgic glow. Coated in a lo-fi haze, plunging bass and aching vocal fragments pull you in different directions as you hurry to keep up with the frisky groove.

Matt Karmil - Havin' It

You might know Ben Evers as one half of Adana Twins – but now he’s stepping out solo again, and stepping up. Fueled by the raw energy of electronic music and a deep connection to the dancefloor, Ben blends house, R&B and hip hop influences into a sound that’s both emotional and powerful. Years on the global circuit as a DJ, plus serious studio chops, have shaped him into a truly versatile artist with his own voice and vision.

A resident at Sisyphos, she brings her own flavour to the release with a killer remix that hits just right – slick, unrelenting, and dripping with intent.

The views from the aeroplane were hard to believe, the scale of the deep blue as it disappeared into the great beyond was staggering. The endless abyss of the limitless sky.

Clouds were sparse yet every time he caught a glimpse of one he’d try to create a mental image or a sense of perspective as to what they were, floating against the backdrop of the opal sky.

He imagined a great dragon, a frightening beast roaring through the sky with a mighty myriad of colours cascading from its magnificent wings.

It was all magic up here.

Amsterdam-based Afghan-Dutch artist Daidu has been DJing, producing, and crafting tasteful edits for more than a decade. He is always experimenting with genre boundaries and has a meticulous approach to sound design that fuses the synthetic and the organic in innovative ways. After contributing to AliA & DTM Funk’s Black Gravity Rhythms compilation on San-Kofa Rhythm Records, he continues to make waves in the studio with this latest oﬀering. Opener 'Arpenin' is a chapter-spanning, in-your-face 909 roller driven by a bouncy bassline and mutating arpeggios, building to several atmospheric synth liftoﬀs. It's infused with future soul while harking back to early Detroit tech and oozes elegant power and sophistication. The shape-shifting 'Circular Discontinuity' blends Daidu’s jazzy keys and percussive jams with a rubbery, oﬀ-grid techno rhythm. Gradually evolving into a rich electronic sound and propelled by synths that reach an intense summit, it's lush techno with a rare musicality and freeform sense of soul.

The mighty jungle cat roared with abandonment and pride as he ran free from the towering walls of the zoo which had kept him imprisoned for so long. It was no problem that he might never return, the wind blew prominently against his fur as he darted between the trees under the glow of the moonlight. It was desperately cold under the chill of winter but that had been the incentive for a fantastic escape, a driving force behind the evacuation which had been coming for oh so long. 

Apres Ski appears on a new compilation set for release on the 13th of March later this month. He features alongside an array of Irish counterparts on the first compilation being released by Dublin Digital Radio, a station which has championed up and coming Irish talent across the breadth of electronic music.

This was to be the first time that laboratory would be open to the public and the outside world. The walls were glimmering a pristine white tint whilst the greenery of the plant life which lurked behind the glass windows acted as a stark yet beautiful contrast to the clinicality of the environment. "001.1" had been a long time in the planning, it was important for a company as rogue and vagabond as theirs to at least pretend that those from the outside world were welcome within their sphere of chaos...

Nacieae appears on a new EP set for release on Tact Recordings. The imprint has moved from strength to strength across the last six years, this time they turn their focus towards the abstract elements of dub.

The funny shaped creature marched prominently across the floor. It toddled back and forth between the four walls and looked surpised as it recreated the same delicately crafted route again and again. Shiu was his name, a thing of beauty which the rich had brought upon a great ship from overseas, he was far from home and very much alone amidst a kingdom of wealth, power and might. The trumpets roared in the courtyard outside as the guards marched upon the cobbles. The creature shivered up in the high tower. 

Thiago Nassif is set to release a new album on the widely praised record label, Foom. The imprint has become synonymous with quality having previously released music by the likes of Peter Zummo, Arthur Russell, NDF and more. @moveltraxx's Street Bangers Factory series comes to a close this week with the ninth edition. Over the course of three years the label has been showcasing high octane dancefloor weapons from the likes of MikeQ, Mighty Mark & TT The Artist, Big Dope P, DJ Earl, Lockah, Morgan Hislop and loads more.

Teklife star @deejay-manny-2 - whose 'Greenlight' was one of the best albums of 2017 - contributes a whipcrack juke cut that's over before you've even had a chance to draw breath. The frantic rhythms of 'It's House' mark another worthy entry in his arsenal of footwork battle anthems.

Athens-based music blog @lagasta has been providing us with excellent yearly entries in their 'Late Summer' compilation series since 2011. Now the team are launching an exciting new label, LAGASTA Records, with a double vinyl v/a compilation featuring a mix of prominent artists and promising talents. Out 30th March, 'Last Gas Station' plays host to contributions from the likes of Moscoman, Larry Gus and Vito & Druzzi.

We're very happy to be premiering the compilation's closing track. PLSD is the live instrumental disco project of APC (Aaron Coyes from @peakinglights), and 'Jungle Dancing' is an saucy slice of synth boogie bizness that displays his facility for breezy melodies.
