Speeding things up with "Like Thunder", the funky vibes continue with an even darker twist. Booming kicks and murky melodies, like a thunder storm working it's way out of the subs and out into the rest of the club. Building energy and releasing tension, just how we like it. 
Dedicated to the low winter sun of the north, it also serves as a reminder that darkness is part of our lives. As creators, this has been an opportunity to discuss our own responsibilities and how we can give back to those who have inspired our sound and culture.

The room was deafly silent; so quiet she could hear her heart pulsing and the blood coursing through her veins. Hours had passed since she first arrived, there had been no sonic or visual stimuli to keep her mind busy; she'd taken to fixing her gaze on a spot on the wall in the hope that it might force something indescribable to happen. The wait felt endless, like an infinite stretch of time with no end in sight, how long could this torture go on for?

Manchester's Left, Right & Centre return for their first release of 2022 and the third artist-led release on the label. At the helm this time it's Bristol-based producer and Rinse France resident Pluralist who has previously put out rhythmic outings for Panel Audio, Manuka Records and Control Freak Recordings. For this three track excursion, titled B Squared, Pluralist treats us to another batch of syncopated drum patterns, rumbling subs and pacy techno mutations that are ready to heat up any dance floor.

@pluralist guides us on a journey through the countless mutations of techno in this EP, which marks the third artist-led release from Manchester’s pioneering club night and record label @leftrightandcentreuk. Rolling through three tracks with the clever use of percussive atmospherics and syncopated beats, ‘B Squared’ is set to entice you onto the dancefloor this year.

Currently based in Bristol, Pluralist has achieved great accolades from his productions, DJ sets and radio shows. He has been firmly rooted in grassroots club culture since 2018 and his influences from this scene can be spotted in all respects. Notably, Pluralist has previously released on Panel Audio, Control Freak Recordings and Manuka Records, as well as hosting regular residencies with Rinse France and 1020 Radio.

'B Squared' commences the EP with an uplifting rhythm, featuring a meandering high pitched vocal and the right amount of rave stabs to make it feel ferociously nostalgic. Following this, Pluralist takes to another mutation of techno with 'Jerzee', reaching a slightly faster tempo, more broken beats and ecstatic metallic twangs throughout. 'Dry Martini' then steadily brings it down a pace, with punchy underlying bass and rhythmic
claps that create a warm staccato feel to conclude the EP.

Returning after a 2 year hiatus, London label GlassTalk return with Spin Cycle EP, coming courtesy of emerging South London producer, @djcoefroms11 (Coe) (aka George Whitehead). The follow up to his acclaimed debut release Radial on Dublin's Woozy label last year, Coe now lands on GlassTalk with 3 brand new tracks, alongside a remix from 3024/Version affiliate @yaksound (Yak). Chopped snappy vox and snips of laughter sit over a volley of bouncy kick and sludgy bass tremors - this is futuristic, cheeky, tripped out electro, prime for a full club meltdown.

The full EP, is a showcase of Coe's affinity for mutant bass explorations, kinetic club sounds and intricate percussion, informed by his first love, Dubstep. Super Natural creeps along at a slower roll with acidic menace, while TORE, a nasty techno dancehall lurker that twitches near to a rinse-out peak, only to restrain itself with patient Half-Time tension. Spin Cycle also features a remix from UK based artist Yak (DJ Mag's 'Breakthrough Producer', 2019). His Super Natural refix surprises those familiar with his previous work, opting for a full DnB breakage session with modern flair. It's a glorious end to another killer release in Coe's small but impressive canon of forward thinking club music.
