Higher Forms EP is a musical relationship generated through online avatars. The aftermath of an online hang out between London/Moscow bridge @ricocasazza and @cpslmsk. A cybernetic alliance was formed to bring forth rhythmic etchings, transmuted from hardware, and liquified into hyperspace. An exploration into the shedding of an old world in search of a higher form. Remix duties by the very excellent @whambolam, @weith, and @detach707.

Rushing us headlong into a vorticist maelstrom of hard-edged drum stutter and polychromatic synth fragmentation, Sansibar sophomore long-player for Kalahari Oyster Cult - “Sans Musique” - tackles the very essence of post-trancey, breaks-loaded UK blends with unabashed joy to wreak havoc on his path. Throughout seven tracks oozing burnt kerosene and depleted uranium residue merged with a hint of sacred incense, Sansibar deploys his extra-wide vision for the present and future of dance music.

“Scully” attacks pedal to the metal, hi-intensity bass onslaughts and knee-buckling breaks roaring as the groove slings us at bullet-speed into a hot, narrow barrel of floor-focused aggression. 

Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, Sansibar is a non-pareil cosmic traveller - also producer, resident DJ at Kaiku and Post Bar and wave agitator on IDA Radio and EOS Radio - whose genre-unbound sound credentials for the likes of Kalahari Oyster Cult, Natural Sciences, Émotsiya, Darknet, Avoidance et al. have helped establish as one of today’s most intriguing talents in the European scene.

Shadowy Dutch producer Yaleesa Hall returns on his Will & Ink imprint with yet more fascinating techo derivatives. We thought it was pretty hard to beat his last release (Zoe Hayley Laura) but WNK 013 certainly delivers the goods. From the Bristolian, low-end driven techno assault of "Daisy Wright" (featuring a truly ripsnorting bass!), it follows the slow burning, dystopian electro journey "Barbara Adams". The electro flavour continues on the flip, with some mental smacked-out breaks on the futurist journey "Harriet Brown" which comes with a rather experimental and IDM influenced VIP mix to even out the B side.
