The EP opens with its title track, finally released after circulating in sets by M.E.S.H. and object blue for years. Exemplifying recharged energy, the titular piece is a mechanised swagger of emboldened electronics that strut onto the scene under the repeating mantra of ‘trying something new’ – a statement optimistically encouraging the listener to join in the artist’s efforts to break mental barriers surrounding the self.

Arno Gonzalez is producing a modern house sound that sometimes ventures into melodic territory close to Electronica, the Angevin artist was first spotted by the Parisian label Missive, then by Timid Records, on which he released his debut album “Encounters”, as well as a number of EPs and remixes...

Today, he is one of the spearheads and leaders of Brique Rouge, David Duriez's label, with whom he is on a mission to perpetuate and reinvent a certain vision of House and Techno music.

With this third album, which marks “the end of innocence”, Arno explodes the codes of his music to better transcend them. We find his inimitable touch, a particular sound that is sometimes minimal, sometimes warm and melodious, a real signature on 13 tracks that tells a real story.

If this is the end of innocence, it's also the beginning of maturity.

The jungle was swamped with rogues and tyrants. Between the trees their warwhoops echoed, at least so his head indicated. Popping the pill he had entered a world of 2mg delirium, a chaotic blur of colours and mystical landscapes. What was real or make believe was now far beyond comprehension as his feet pedalled quickly beneath him. The forest floor was damp and moist beneath the pouring rain and his shoes squelched in the marshy ground. 

Reptant is set to release a new EP on Tomahawk Records in the form of "Night Time Creepin". Intelligent techno with a disorientated edge.

Prolific imprint Scuffed Recordings make their first foray into vinyl with a quartet of signature tracks from their back catalogue that have been already causing damage on the dancefloor. 
Detroit oddball Marshall Applewhite (@marshall-applewhite) opens proceedings with “Destroy The Silence”, a frenzied mass of stripped down electro-percussion that does exactly what its title says. Japanese producer Naco (@naco) counters this energy with his gritty slow building tech-house mutation, OIZB. On the flip, Glances’ (@glancesmusic) Bulwark combines ethereal vocals with glitchy, pulsating percussion and Chungo (@chungobristol) closes out the release with the tribal, UK techno channeling roller Shuka.

Even a historical pandemic couldn't take summer hits away from our hearts. Exceptional circumstances means extraordinary compilation.

Worst Records' hall of fame welcomes new faces around the pool for a 13-stages enlightened drama. You'll meet again with the top 3 podium made of A Strange Wedding, Jacques Satre and Christian Coiffure, all rensponsible for our first three releases, building up a mesmerizing, out of season mental workout. Extending the dimension of trance towards Saint-Etienne, Del.Duc brings on a curious yet serene astral travel, and we can also count on the distant reinforcements from the Toulouse Gouffre Club crew with Jan Loup and her glitch spangled hazy dub from far futures and the new trance comer from Bordeaux, Lazuli.
Special friends are also gathering here, as Myako is sewing on thin fabric a vaporous dub in shades of grey, the one-and-only master touki Théo Muller delivers a cinematic remedy to confinement.
Liberation through hearing, it is, as borders explode with the presence of many : Yin Yang Audio in a transatlantic IDM/break jump, Forest on Stasys (aka Mental Resonance) and his tough shamanic dance, Clemens Friedrich slowing down all senses at once and JEANS, boss of Oracle Bones, speeding us up in the hyperloop.
Finally, as teamwork means a lot, we have given the pleasure to open this compilation to the four-headed Lausanne/Freiberg hydra 4POTR and their cryptic transdimensional message, and the honor of closing this pool party to the 404 trio gem from Candoblé with a fine piece of wonder.

Not exactly your usual summer compilation, nor the hits you could imagine, but surely the music you'll need under the hot sun of 2020.
