Tragic Revolution, a New Beat track from 1988, gets a uptempo edit by Lennart.
The catchy melodies and dark vocoder voices caught his attention and inspired him to give this song a new twist.

Lennart is a 23 year old producer from The Netherlands who started working at Slow Motion in the beginning of 2021. In the last year he got introduced to a lot of new music (including this track) by Franz Scala and Fabrizo Mammarella.
This edit was made last summer in the studios of Sameheads in Berlin and is now available as a free download for you!

Nativo, Relish, Richmerch, Ninefont Music, Playground, Sprechen, Rotten City Files, Tici Taci, Beachcoma, KNM, Melomana (their very own outlet)… the list of labels where the former trio and currently duo Gameboyz (SXDNS061) have their work published is extensive. Charlie (Carlos Franco) & Kali (Luis Vallespín), when in studio, let the juice flow and fail to disappoint when it comes to seaming together their most personal influences. The result is a powerful acid-meets-stamina-meets-groove devoted-to-the-dance-floor concoction.

Their freshest endeavour lands now on NEIN: The “Chicken & Drugs” EP comes fried and crispy with three outstanding originals and two well-constructed remixes made with love by Ian Vale and Shkema. Premiered here, the latter’s version.

While the original tells its story in 110 BPM, the interpretation of the rising “weird producer and weird DJ” from Lithuania shows its credentials in 116. For his account, Shkema brought the theme to his realm by ripping off the arpeggios and the fat and adding a more frolic and, yes, “weird” gait, somebody would say. We liked it!

Dina Summer returns with another single from their highly anticipated second album ‘Girls Gang’ which will be released on January 24th, 2025 via Iptamenos Discos.

The Berlin-based trio, comprised of dark disco DJ duo Local Suicide and Frittenbude member Kalipo, present ‘Hypnotized’, a laidback poppy tune that radiates a sunny energy - at parts reminding of the more summery tunes from the trio’s debut album “Rimini” and wouldn’t sound out of place on a best of the 80’s compilation record. It explores the complexities of truth and deceit within relationships and emotional power play, emitting a feeling of danger and dark tremulous waters while giving a joyous anticipation for the good times ahead.

While their debut album was characterized by its club-centric sound, drawing from Italo disco and '90s electro influences, this new release explores a richer palette of new wave, post-punk, and synth-pop. The sophomore long-player is more song-oriented, often featuring real bass and guitar, and showcases a more vocal-driven performance from frontwoman Dina, incorporating more singing alongside her trademark spoken words. Yet, it retains the same catchy melodies Dina Summer is known for, offering both indie pop hymns and a few undeniable club anthems.

Besides dropping their new single, the trio also reveals the content of the second LP from the indie store exclusive bundles which includes club versions of “Schall & Rauch” & “Promise Me”, a Greek version of “Halkidiki” as well as remixes by DJ Hell, Damon Jee, The Populists & Phunkadelica.

A third of Italian production act Agents Of Time, Sharp Felon loops out of the trio's orbit to land his debut solo EP on Maceo Plex's Lone Romantic, 'Let The Game Begin' - featuring three stunt-driving cosmonautical bangers that aim to abolish all sense of gravity in the club and beyond. Breaking in at fierce speed, 'Devil Trail' attacks pedal to the metal and leaves prismatic wisps of vapor in its wake. A proper electro-magnetic dasher, the track alternates steady shooting sequences of 303-marinated bass with eloquent kosmische-indebted synth maneuvers and laser-precise breaks, all joining forces to have your feet shuffling and mind drifting up into higher spheres of consciousness in one potent backhanded caress.

A more straightforward affair, B-side opener 'Telework Titan' lifts its listener off to a further compelling state of meditative balance through a nonetheless muscular groove and epic-sized sub-bass moves. Cruising in the upper layers of the stratosphere, Sharp Felon's stamps on the accelerator of his shark-mouthed spaceship and hedgehops across craggy alien reliefs with personal hands-on skills. Intergalactic transmissions announce an imminent extra-terrestrial invasion, it's time to tune out and enter the melee. Laser guns blazing and acid stabs smoking, 'Cyber Fex' nose-dives in an enemy-occupied territory and washes over the ground brawl like a hi-tech tsunami. Purebred Donald-ian face-melter in sheer Dopplereffekt meets Arpanet fashion, this one lacks no oomph.
