Vronsky’s 5th episode – “The Ship And The AI” – is a collection of 4 sample based deep Techno tracks blending his favorite long time influences: hypnotic loops, dystopian tones and old school bleeps.
Continuing his previous work - “[LB009] I’m not done yet” -  which was reflective of the worst moments of the pandemic. This episode, made this time in 2022, tends to be a bit more aggressive.
It is reflecting somewhat in the mind of the artist, the rising tensions that can be felt in Europe with the many global conflicts that filled the news this year, and the increasingly present global warming effects.

[PREMIERE] Polistes Fuscatus - Aspetuck | Telomere Plastic [2022]

Moving over the face of the water he looked down beneath at the waves below as they rippled and then vanished out of sight. He wondered what was down there, beneath the murky depths of the ocean – uncharted territory that had never been explored. It seemed so vast and abstract that it was almost beyond the realms of comprehension or understanding…

He was but a mere voyager upon a ship sailing towards a new life. What was deep beneath the murky blue was not to be his business, at least not for today.

They had been travelling for hours having left shore under the cloak of darkness earlier that morning…

It would probably be dark again now.

Anna Wall’s Dream Theory kicks off 2023 with a compilation of abstract ambient music from a carefully handpicked assortment of musicians. The album features a beautiful assortment of sounds and meditative textures which guide us into the new year with a semblance of optimism and poignancy in equal measure.

After 6 years, label boss Ewan Jansen circles back to Red Ember’s main with a new EP. 
A concept journey equally for the mind and the dancefloor that strays from his house roots with themes of mysticism pushing wider rhythm palettes and creative synthesis.

The opener ‘Solanoid’ marches over the horizon; a solid progression of sun-scorched chords, goaded by some distinctive chanting synths and driving bass.
‘Caravania’ answers as a stomping IDM-esque fable, joined by bubbling rhythms on the ground and a central writhing serpentine synth guided from high above by voices unknown.   
The flip side quickly de-camps from the physical, with the organic ‘Mistik’ seeing elements of rave and tribal electronica driven by tuned kicks, sub-bass and resonant rhythms.
Lastly, a stoic tome of stone and water is left with ‘Gecko’ – a skittish chunky groove, with isolated melancholic tones that find harmony in the end.
