R$N Premieres March 2016

During 2021, to help get through the ongoing lockdown I made a series of 90 minute cassette tapes, one a month for ten months. I thought there would be a small demand but was blown away by the response. People really embraced them and copies went to every corner of the planet. They became a huge part of my year and really helped me through a tough time.

A little later I made them available digitally for a short period and all the proceeds raised went to Glasgow NW Foodbank. I was again blown away as thousands of pounds were raised.

I have decided to put the series on Soundcloud. I'll upload them sporadically over the coming months. I'm skipping the 2nd one as it has the same title as a compilation I put out recently and I don't want the two getting confused, but I may come back to it later. This is the 3rd one titled “SMI²LE - Space Migration, Intelligence Increase, Life Extension".

Smi²le was Timothy Leary’s mid 70s vision of the future of humanity. It's Utopian & in hindsight wildly optimistic. He believed we would have colonised space & have cloned ourselves by around the year 2000. He envisaged millions of us would be living in “High orbital mini Earths” in our own small Utopian communities. I have a long time fascination with (unrealisable) Utopian communities and Smi²le has always been one I particularly liked as it was so fully thought out & even by Utopian standards wildly hopeful & unrealistic. It's also relevant to our times as contentious/ awful figures like Peter Thiel & Elon Musk have adopted the worst parts of these ideas without any public scrutiny. Free market space migration may not be a positive thing, particularly if we are exporting this planet’s problems into outer space.

Anyway, that’s an aside and it’s basically a 90 minute space themed mix of music. Understanding / knowing about the Smi²le concept is not essential to its enjoyment. :)

DC Salas is a Belgian DJ and producer from Brussels with Peruvian roots. Known for weaving house, acid, techno, goa, early '90s progressive, and New Beat into his sets, DC Salas crafts eclectic journeys driven by high energy and hypnotic grooves. As a producer, he has released standout EPs and remixes on respected labels such as Live at Robert Johnson, Semi Delicious, R.A.N.D Muzik, Time Passages, Correspondant, Relish, Kill The DJ, Futureboogie, and B-Pitch Control.  2023 was marked by critical acclaim with his "Tio EP" on Semi Delicious and "Pressure EP," a collaboration between R.A.N.D Muzik and Echocentric. These releases received enthusiastic support from DJ Mag, Bandcamp, Avalon Emerson, Job Jobse, DJ Masda, Spray, Kendal, Mr. Ho, Parris DJ, Quest, Evan Baggs, Binh, Ivan Smagghe, and more. 2025 promises to be another impactful year, with upcoming EPs slated for Binh’s Time Passages, Jen Cardini’s Correspondant, and anticipated releases on Cocoon and Eya Records.  Following its premiere in Brussels in February 2025, DC Salas' dynamic new solo live show is now ready to tour internationally.

From 1999, he pioneered the fusion of Italo-Disco, synth/wave, and obscure disco in Berlin, hosting the Italo-only show Radio Tenax on Twen FM (2003–2011). With 30+ years behind the decks, Benji keeps pushing boundaries with genre-blending sets across Europe.

Scuol Palace, tucked away in the Eastern Mountains of Switzerland, hosted the 1st Multiplay Festival, a beautiful foray into the wilderness, curated with love and attention. I was honoured to be invited to close the outdoor stage on Saturday night. A big bag of vinyl and some choice digital personal cuts and unreleased material as well as numbers from my circle.. 
Open the bag, do not prepare, exist in the moment and enjoy the ride, it’s where moments meld and the joy happens, the unexpected. Energy levels were high, the recording is no frills and raw!

Miles Atmospheric DJ set -  Multiplay Festival - Scuol - Switzerland 20.9.25

It is our pleasure to share our latest podcast, this time from Full Circle’s Alexis Le-Tan.  The mix is a live recording taken from Bakk Heia at The White Hotel earlier this year. Alexis began playing around 3am, just as the club had reached capacity. Energy that was simmering under the surface began to be released, the initial hustle and bustle was over and people had found their place on the floor. As such, this mix expertly demonstrates Alexis’ ability to hook dancers in, giving them a playful push before engaging them into full mind melt mode. Starting with genre defying mid-tempo dubby sludgery, it moves into angular strains of new beat adjecent trancers before unleashing the Goa dragons on the rapturous mass of entranced bodies.

Our latest PDA mix is from John Loveless. A DJ, producer and writer from the North West of England. He is known for his residencies on Refuge Worldwide and Cashmere Radio, where his long-running show ‘Display Resolution’ recently concluded after 100 episodes. As well as his own Hot Concept imprint and parties, he is creatively involved with both Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound and CWPT with Palms Trax.

“PDA and the generous musical universe around it is one of the things that has kept me most excited about Berlin in the last few years, and this mix, recorded in one hasty take, is specifically my own interpretation of what might be possible on the dancefloor there. It takes inspiration from my early, mindbending clubbing experiences at parties in Manchester like Wet Play and Red Laser, as well as every producer making club music by their own strange and essential rules, for our communal pleasure.”

John’s presence is that of integral figure and fixer in this world of music, he’s also formidable force behind the decks and we are very pleased to welcome him for this weekend’s Public Display of Affection starting on Saturday the 4th of October and running until the following Sunday afternoon 💘

The shopfront looked gloomy and mysterious in the streetlight. Dust sat layered in the windows and no light could be seen from within. The crew of revellers stood eagerly outside the door, a small queue had already begun to form behind them as they waited. Finally at midnight, the bolts were unlatched and it swung open. One at a time they were ushered inside and in the distance they could hear the sound of drums echoing. Below them there was a party underway, deep down in the basement, and they were going there. 
Mark E is forever on point. His latest EP for Futureboogie is on point and 'Basement Trax' is on point.

"Can you sang?" shouted the bartender. The down and out hell hole had been falling apart for decades amidst the Texas landscape. It sat discretely alongside the highway as it had for many years, its wooden shutters blowing gently in the breeze against the old shack of a building. Inside there were few customers, the drunken women behind the til would shout at each customer who entered challenging them to sing. Her strong southern accent bellowed sharply through the quiet as she called for a "sanger" over and over again. 

Hotel Lauer is the project of Phillip and Jacob Lauer, two German brothers with a taste for percussion, synths and drums. Here is their latest release on Emotional Especial.

Schmutz are an upcoming duo from Belfast. The pair have been actively running parties in the city, booking guests such as Leon Vynehall, Hunee, Midland and many more. The pairs latest adventure in music sees them release an EP for a sub label of Fina, titled Fina White.

The tree sat atop the far away hill amidst a sea of long green grass and reeds. In the distance the child could be seen swinging from one of the tallest branches, heaven knows how he had made it so high. All that could be seen was his shadow against the darkening afternoon sky as he swang to and fro. No ladder would reach as far up as to bring him down. All of a sudden the tree let our a solemn creak, it began to talk and whispered to the crowd which had gathered beneath the swinging child. It spoke...

"Burn me down, bring him home."

Based over the pond Suzanne Kraft has done a very good job of raising his profile in Europe. His sound fits perfectly on labels such as ESP, Melody As Truth, Running Back and now Kitjen. This latest effort sees him amp things up a tad as he releases three dance floor targeted tracks on the 'DJ Safety' EP.

The tables had turned on the world of spirituality. What had once been a thing so profound and adored had become black. Higher powers were at work beyond the understanding of those on earth, their worhsip had once been kind, loving and good but now the mass was tarred by a haunting set of moral judgements and all encompassing beliefs. This was a black mass. 

Amir Alexander has always had a close affiliation with Argot as a label, in 2012 he was the first artist to release on the imprint. Now he returns offering up a three track EP titled "The Butterfly".

One gun hung behind the bar, never had it been used before but there was an ever growing sense of tension amidst the gathering drunks. In the corner of the room a glass fell and smashed to pieces, this was met by a roar of laughter from the gang of youths to the left. The barman shifted nervously on his feet and glanced around the room. He dreaded the moment in which he might have to take action, make a move and use that gun, that lonely gun, that solo gun.
