Dora was beautiful, her hair was long and elegant as she walked calmly towards the field of flowers. A few hours ago she had been flying in the sky, the deep radiant blue had seemed as if it might swallow the plane. However, now she was here, back on earth with her feet firmly rooted to the ground.

The clouds had rolled in, perhaps a reflection of her sombre mood. She stood all alone, a little lost amidst the radiant mirage of colours and pearly flowers which dazzled and disrupted the otherwise grey, beige background.

Perhaps she was one of them too, a bright flower amidst a hazy world.

Zillas on Acid are set to release a new EP on Jennifer Cardini and partner Noura Labbani’s record label Dischi Autumno. This one also features some killer remixes with the highlight coming in the form of a cinematic kraut inspired affair from Lo Kindre who does a spectacular job of reworking the original.

It had been three days since he’d left her in the baking heat, stuck in a motel on the wrong side of town. She’d never dreamt it might have turned out like this? What with all the money, the wild nights and the excess. How had it all come crashing down around them all so horribly? Why was she the one all alone?

She’d never thought of herself as the jealous type before, perhaps it took strange circumstances to channel strange emotions. Jealousy was a funny thing..

Anyway, it was mid afternoon and her next client would be arriving shortly, she better get ready. Quick, whip it, fast, flash.

System Olympia and Tom Sharkett team up for a new track which channels all the emotions of a late night telephone call in the backstreets of a hot country far away. This one is for the jealous types, the late night lovers and their rendezvous.

Flexi Cuts is pleased to introduce Lazy Snail's new EP, Lucky Life. A truly valuable work, the result of time and research, where Alessandro (aka Lazy Snail) wanted to explore different sides of electronic music of an inner and mature nature at the same time.
Lucky Life is like going up to the attic and finding something precious to take care of; it sums up a long musical journey, from the past to the present, in five tracks full of meaning.
The first track, Remèrcier, is a tribute to 'dance' music, an intense talk over a hypnotic moog bass.
This is followed by Vagrants, dedicated to his hometown (Cudgnola), where we find an 808 rhythmic patterns as involving and beating as a walk in the rain.
The B-side opens with One Place, which features a vocal stunning collaboration with Flicker Fox, who brings the track into a techno universe with percussion and intimate echoes.
Climbin' High was inspired by Alessandro's passion and admiration for the mountains. He composed it imagining an extreme climb, and immediately afterwards an equally dangerous but necessary descent. Just like in reality.
The record ends with No Evil, an ambient-flavoured gem that opens on the climax in a riot of expert snares and synths.

A call from Turkey and the world to all music enthusiasts!

On February 6, 2023 Turkey and Syria were struck by two massive earthquakes (7,7 - 7,6 on the richter scale) in one day. The severity of the earthquake, the size of the area, the demographic and the large number of people being caught unprepared, combined with the harsh weather conditions, dramatically heightened the effects of this disaster. Since then a lot of local and global efforts have been put together to gather and transfer urgent help to the area, however these efforts are unfortunately inadequate in the face of the size of this catastrophic event. In a bid to help our country and its neighbours, Müstesna Records (TR) have decided to put together a relief compilation in collaboration with Ransom Note on their Dance Music From Planet Earth compilation label (UK).

As of now 48 artists from around the globe have contributed some of their beautiful work. The compilation will be released in two parts with the first part shared on Wednesday 1st March. If we all unite as music listeners, nightlife enthusiasts and all those in between, we will be stronger in size and strength.

Music brings us all together, regardless of our geographic location. We hope that everyone falling under this roof believes in sharing beautiful collective memories, as well as tragedies.

On 26 February, hundreds of Israeli settlers went on a violent late-night rampage in Huwara and other villages in the northern West Bank, leaving one local resident dead and 100 others injured and the town ablaze.

This compilation of music was put together in order to raise funds that can hopefully give some aid to the residents of Huwara, all of the proceeds Confused Machines make from digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il An NGO that works in the occupied Palestinian territory, promoting Palestinians' right to health and providing direct medical and humanitarian assistance.

The compilation hosts a roster of both local and international artists spanning a wide spectrum of leftfield electronic music. Acid, Drone, Noise, Downtempo, Techno, SoundCollage and more.
All of these tracks are new and have not been heard before, many of them have been created with Huwara and Palestine in mind.

Though we know our reach is limited, we see this as a part of a bigger political effort to help raise awareness in our artistic circles and set motion to positive forces in dark times.

Belgian producer, DJ and FCL member Red D has announced a new remix EP dubbed ‘Re-Fantasized & Realized’ featuring tracks from his 2022 album. He has invited a stellar cast of friends and producers to remix his work including the likes of Charles Webster, Kai Alice and Far Out Radio Systems.
