Le morceau « Buddleia », du producteur basque @explorationssilencieuses ouvre les portes d’un univers atmosphérique et psychédélique tout en douceur, semblant chuchoter une légèreté divine. The flowers hung out over the water, the riverbed a beautiful masquerade of bright beautiful colours which danced and glistened in the reflection of the pond. Boats moved slowly past, taking in the sights of the elegant gardens which drifted by. From time to time they could hear the echoes of birds in the trees which overlooked this special place in the outback of a country lost to the depths of time, Amuka was serene. 

Tai Rona appears on a new split compilation from Feng Shit, a sub label of Decale, designed to highlight electronic and experimental music from contemporary artists. The first release on the newly launched imprint also includes music from the likes of OKO Dj and Christian Coiffure. 

This track, called "Amuka",  by Tai Rona is a highlight.

'Aggelos first approached Lurid Music with the idea for this project a few months ago. We agreed on one condition, that all proceeds be donated to refugee causes, like we did with his Black Sea EP which supported the Syrian refugee crisis. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we decided our focus had to be helping the Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their homes in search of safe havens abroad.

We discussed this with most contributors to the project and the consensus was that donations should strictly go to humanitarian groups and not any armament funds. There were also some thoughts about helping conflict-affected peoples in other parts of the world but we decided it was too much to tackle for a relatively small project like this one.

Therefore, donations stemming from the sales of this release will be distributed to the following humanitarian groups currently active in Ukraine or neighboring countries welcoming refugees:

The young scientist takes us here in his first "Méharées". These long raids on camelback, interested in nature, cliffs, sand, scorpions and snakes. Vegetation both rare and precious, his music has taken, as if by mimicry, the characteristics of the desert: dry and hostile. Philippe Toussaint knew how to restore the magic of its horizons, which unfolds endlessly, and where DJ Ungel sails there as on a sea.

Serious Trouble label presents a mind bending record that brings together forward thinking jams from the early 80’s into present time with reworks of Tiffy L’Amours’ „Follow Me“ and „Film Musik“ from Die Gesunden. Both received an editorial treatment by Benedikt Frey, Menqui & Philipp Otterbach. With kind allowance by the original composers this 12“ marks the editorial spirit of Serious Trouble and waves tribute to moist cellar jams.
The A-Side „Follow Me“ Rework by Frey & Menqui is a wild extension of the original which gently adds a weird drummy cowbell intro before it introduces the chanting eccentric original. That got enhanced with an extra electronic bass recording and relooped cut & phrases emphasing you to hit the bell just one more time.
On the flip side „Film Musik“ Frey & Otterbach dived into the artists main motive and layerd it with a lyra, sh101 and external drums in an 8 hour session. It respectfully keeps the spirit of the playful original. In comparison to that though they managed to built a seamless endless „escheresque" staircase to mad mountain. An Immortal Acid exploration.

Phase Group continue their exploration of the fringes of contemporary electronic music with a release that brings together two separate projects born from analogue hardware improvisations.

‘A Given Moment’ presents the dub-laden, mind-bending and noise-driven music of Brussels-based artist and Vastechoses label head Lostsoundbytes, and the lo-fi, early morning lysergic experiments of Lowspace, an unearthed, forgotten collaborative project by French DJ and musician Low Bat and Dresden-based producer Heninspace.

This is music that takes you deeper into the vortex, made for dark and smoke-enveloped clubs and cosmic day-break afterparty moments. On the A-side, Lostsoundbytes continues his prolific output of masterfully crafted bass-heavy and dub-wise analogue machine jams, while the B-side presents two lost psychotropic experimental recordings by Lowspace made in 2018 upon a visit by Low Bat to Heninspace’s Dresden studio.
