The fruit was luxurious and sweet. She plucked it from the trees within the grove, the tall fences which lined the beautiful green branches seemed not as fierce and frightening as they first had when she had arrived. The manor house cast a long shadow down the garden and in the distance she could smell the delicious cooking of her mother. She ran between the leaves excitedly for she had spent too long beneath the sun for now. It was time to retreat to the shade. 

Olde Gods return with a gorgeous sun kissed sound as part of their new Tapes project. Fun edits with a dance floor focussed twist for the adventurous dj.

The class came to an abrupt halt as the teacher echoed brutally across the room, the shrill tone was enough to leave a haunting memory in the mind of any child. Trouble was on the way, you could bet your bottom dollar on it. He ran from the room very quickly, sprinting down the corridor and bolted for the front door. He was being chased by a gang of staff as he burst from the building and leapt proudly down the steps. A shout echoed out in the distance and like that he was gone. 

Malka Tuti have just released a new album from Tapan in the form of "Europa". A release dedicated to and inspired by events in 2015 & 2016, which saw the spectre of global crisis come knocking at Europe’s doorstep.

ALF CHAMPION is a DJ, Producer and Visual Artist born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. Almost everyone who hears about him thinks his name is a dumb made-up name… but actually that is his real name.

ALF says -

This material was the result of severals months of work. The first track I did was “Lucidus Somnia”, and it’s about the mystery of lucid dreams. It took me several days to conclude this song, experimenting with different capture methods. The second track I did was “Raptum” which is a bit more aggressive and tells the story of an alien abduction in a fun way. The last track “Frigus Frigus” is a bit more romantic, slow and friendly, and I did it to counteract the intensity of the first two tracks.

Amora Lamor - Various Tracks EP (DTAG004) Preview

The Alameda EP finds the Junto Club expanding on the sound that has come to define the band, which is to say sparse electronics and percussive post punk underscoring David Wilson’s haunting suicide inspired vocals. On this EP the synths and drum machines take centre stage pulling their sound from the shadows and firmly onto the dancefloor, wasting no time with opening track Hercules’ 11 minute electro onslaught.

On the flip, enigmatic new producer Fall Forward follows on from remixes for Gabe Gurnsey and Groove Armada to deliver an overdriven, rave tinted remix of Hercules that breathlessly strobes through distorted Junos on a peaktime trip. For the final track longtime SC&P collaborator Curses leaves us with a punishing physical remix of Alone that is delves deep into the harder side of his techno tendencies and is sure to be assaulting the darkest of dancefloors once the clubs reopen.

01 Hercules

Everyone shuffles up the stairs, poorly attempting to find their seats before the lights start to dim. The final customers rush to their seats as the lights are extinguished, obnoxiously bumping into every person who's just made themselves comfortable, some even knocking over an array of different sticky treats. A communal sense of excitement coats the air on this room full of absolute strangers. The suspense rapidly builds after each advert, the whole room are on the edge of their seats, then suddenly...

Dutch label I Lost My Poncho In Istanbul call upon Moisk, a collaboration between Pletnev AKA Ponty Mython and Fourmï Rouz, for their latest release Paupio Genome. Our pick is an obscure acid track entitled ‘Democrazy’ which carefully balances UK bleep techno-inspired hat patterns with a squelchy 303 bassline and repetitive spooky chants.
