The mountain was ferocious. Up high amongst the rocky peaks a raging storm was wildly battering the cliff face upon which they had been climbing for a long, long time. Nazare had never supposed to be this difficult, a peak with simple complexity was proving to have a peculiar weather system which tossed and turned at the change of a breeze. Not long ago they had been basking beneath the glow of the delicate sun, the snow melted beneath their feet. Now they were under attack. 

Rothmans releases on El Diablo's Social Club, a release which has been supported by the likes of Laurent Garnier and Detroit Swindle. It was the Max Essa remix which caught our eye however.

The chimes echoed in the ease of the morning sun. Hanging from the long branch up above she watched as the small metallic rods clattered together in harmony as their high pitched twang reverberated in the breeze. She was very peaceful out here in the countryside, the long grass blew easily beneath her as she sat up high in her perch amongst the leaves. The dense green of summer was all around as the heat began to pour across the land and enter the day. 

Tamten is next up on Polish record label Transatlantyk, an imprint which has become a bit of a favourite here at Ransom Note as of late. An assortment of balearic and house focussed tracks in an elegantly crafted fashion.

The small hours were meant for little more than disjointed conversation and slow dancing. After the party yattering had become the norm, a mixed blur of white senseless noise and the dotted motion of a man or woman in the corner of the room swaying back and forth. This was a special time, a pensive moment which existed in it's own realm, untouched by the trouble and allure of the outside world. Inside the top floor flat she watched from the window as the sun began to rise across the city, the day had dawned. 

Brandon Vare is the next to release on Scottish record label Jelly Roll Soul, an imprint committed to doing things properly. Having run parties around the country in the tiniest of basements they have now stepped out as an up and coming label and have made their mark.

In the distant galaxy far away there gathered a colony, a band of brothers who were at one with the stars and the far reaches of the universe. On planet play there was no concept of time or limitations. They were a free wheeling gang of vagabonds who had touched down on an entity which would become theirs alone. The sea roared a fierce shade of blue and green as the lightening from the stuttering clouds up above circled in chaos. Go find them, up in the sky. 

William The Squid appears on a new EP as part of the 'Universal Broadcast' series on Craigie Knowes records. The label has assembled a special crew of producers to appear on the four track EP which also includes a final outing for the Deep Space Orchestra moniker.

The noise from the hollow shell echoed around the whole house. In his bedroom he was free to do as he pleased, create as much carefully crafted noise as his heart desired. However, just for fun, he felt like today was the day to introduce the concept of the five minute bass drum solo. The kick bounced and bounced between the four walls of the tiny chamber, the window shook firmly inside the frame as the dull thud began to boom and boom and boom and boom. 

Liem and Eddie Ness have collaborated on a new track as part of a new compilation from Times Are Ruff. The new release also features appearances from the likes of Fouk, S3A and more.

The crowd had fallen into an abrupt silence. An hour ago they had been noisy and profound, vocal and prolific and loud. Now a shameful indifference had fallen hushed across the room as one by one they began to leave. The speaker had lost his way, his tired regime would not sway them anymore and soon a new leader would take his place upon the grand podium. Next, next, next please. The conveyor belt rolled onwards as the black rubber burned beneath those awaiting their chance to speak.

Tape Hiss is an up and coming producer from Brooklyn. He releases on the infamous party starters Just Jack, an EP packed with fire and energy. He is accompanied by a remix from Ostgut Ton associate Massimiliano Pagliara.

An array of beams and city lights flow in a continuous spectrum that dissolves into lines as the car speeds up. It’s only a matter of time before his journey turns into a tunnel of light. Off he goes into the distance to test the space time continuum limits of speed and sound with aboard of his car only courage and humility.”  

For his first EP, Romain FX digs deep in his emotions to pull out four Italo & House infused tracks full of musical surprises.  

Romain FX comes to Fauve with some hard-strutting disco shapes to impart for all you fabulous freaks of the night. "The Drive" leads the way with a nagging, seemingly endless arpeggio draped in subtle flecks of harmonizing synth shapes - it makes for the perfect energised club track. "Ke Ai" is a more emotional number that seeks to tug at the heart strings even as it makes you move. "Fray" brings something a little cheekier with its darting high-register lead lines, sweet chords and airy mixdown - this is one for the terraces of the warmer months to come. "Air House" completes the set with a dreamy, pad soaked floater that keeps that sturdy disco-informed rhythm section intact.

DJ Don Carlos (born Carlo Troja, from Varese-Italy) with his productions in the 90s has become one of the cult producers for DJs around the world.
His track Alone released in 1991 for Calypso (under the Irma Records label) was and still is one of the classics of House Music, played by all the major American and British DJs.
At the time of its publication it was considered an underground song and therefore did not sell very much, but over the years its myth has grown thanks to its subsequent productions as for example his second single, the EP entitled Mediterraneo, title which it will then inspired his first CD album printed in the USA with the same title.
Several other singles followed, another album, always printed only in the USA, entitled Aqua, from which a triple promo vinyl was extracted which today is one of the artist's most requested rarities.
