The classroom roared with laughter as the announcement was made. In the corner of the room the teacher watched on with a sense of thoughtful poignancy. Lou had finally beaten Sou and the schoolchildren were delighted by the result. It wasn't often that the class clown received their comeuppance. Often their dominance was what scared and inspired other children into laughter. Now, with a bashful look upon his face Lou walked slowly back to his chair to reflect on the loss. The teacher sighed. 

Leon Revol is set to release a new EP on Beats Of No Nation. It will be the fourth in their catalogue and comes from the24 year old Bordeaux based producer who has previously released music on the likes of Kolour, Secret Reels, Future Disco, and Monologues.

She watched him leave. His car drove slowly up the road and into the distance as the rain began to fall with a harmonic pitter patter. She was left alone once again, in the empty house surrounded by the walls that haunted and twisted between them. There was little left in her heart, she just wished that she could see him sometimes. Perhaps it was supposed to be this way, distant and sad. She sat at the table and watched the outside world float by through the glass. 

Tilman returns to release on Klamauk for the second time. He brings with him his golden take on deep house and orchestrates a careful assortment of charmed pads and samples.

He knew what she was thinking about as she paraded boldly across the room. Her provocative nature had always been one to entice suspicion and interest. It were as if a vast audience were observing her long legs march with power and eerie stealth. She knew, he knew and I know. The music began to play even louder in the basement as she began to dance. It was an elegant, slow moving feat which left little to the imagination. This was not what she had dreamt of but by heavens was she good. 

Hubie Davison appears on Needs, a new not for profits record label founded by Bobby Pleasure. The proceeds of the first release will go to mental health charity Mind.

The call of the night welcomed her home. She had ran for thousands of miles by day across the dandy dunes and the grassy plains but something always ensured she returned to her place of rest. "Ducue" echoed out across the night as the stars sparkled in a hazy glow up above. The sky was a pitch, deep black but it was not threatening like it once had been. Now it was still, peaceful and dreamy. Half the world was asleep whilst another roared and rioted. This was far away. 

Love Letters is an artist whom we have supported previously on Ransom Note, an interesting up and comer with a distinct sound reminiscent of the days when house was... better. Yeah, we said it. Anyway, here is a new track on Yield Records, listen to "Ducue".

Hackney-based post-punk outfit @aathenss were formed in late 2015, their early rehearsals taking place in the basement of Kingsland Road's now-defunct DIY space Power Lunches which closed shortly afterwards. That dark, sweaty, hallucinatory basement was where I first witnessed the band's incendiary live show, which bristles with tightly-wound energy.

Now, Aathens are releasing their debut album 'Virtue Signal' on East London imprint @blank-editions, and we're premiering the record's first track, 'Idiot Thing'. The taut, spindly guitar lines and acrobatic rhythm section call to mind a cross between Television and the Minutemen - and it's just the tip of the iceberg on an album which announces Aathens as one of the most exciting and substantial guitar groups in the UK right now.

He had been seeking an appointment for a long time. However, his reckless ambition had led him down the rabbit hole many times before. There had even been occasions within which he had felt he might never come back. The mysterious creatures which lived beneath the ground were fascinating and simple, unlike the earthlings which marched back and forth upon the concrete up above. He shook himself back to sense, back to reality in which his head was full with little else but rejection. 

Thomass Jackson is set to release an EP on his own Calypso Records. An intriguing assortment of leftfield house which takes influence from krautrock and distant electronics.

Ori Kenneth aka Alek Lee is a Tel Aviv Based DJ/Producer.
This is his first independent release following his last EP 'Sfarot' on Antinote Records which was a firm favorite here at LYO, especially the track "Harabait". Here is a sweet remix by scottish producer MR TC from Optimo fame.

Following onwards from the first two volumes, Fantastic Twins' Microdosing imprint returns with its third various artists EP, featuring the likes of Borusiade, Zillas On Acid, Scott Fraser and Cooper. We've the pleasure of airing the latter his contribution in its entirety here today. Titled 'Phase 0', the track embarks on an exploration through morphing rhythmics, interstellar soundscapes and zoned out minimalism. One for the dance floor droids.

The car gathered speed, picking up dust as it hurtled down the road. Time didn't seem to matter when they were on the road. They had nowhere to be, no commitments or prior engagements to worry about. Now, the thrill of the chase was the only thing that kept them alive. They didn't know what they were chasing or where they'd end up. They just had to keep moving. 

A close part of London party Snap, Crackle & Pop's family, Frenchman Mondowski makes his long-awaited full debut on their label arm with his Sholay EP. Having lent a hand on production duties for the label's inaugural and fourth releases, his solo debut sees him explore a more club-orientated sound than his previous post-punk and new wave inspired releases for both Ombra International and Relish Recordings. 

Title song 'Sholay' is certain to transcend dancefloors, bringing together 80s electro influences, driving synths and deftly sourced samples while the B-Side showcases the darker side of Mondowski's productions. The title track and the flip get the rework treatment from Pinkman's Kris Baha and Multiple Man respectively, each putting their signature spin on the originals.

Warmest Support Alliance compilation shaped quite instinctively during the thrilling period of the lockdown. The need to support others as well as ourselves kicked in pretty quickly, thus, ten independent tracks by various producers were carefully crafted and will be presented under the Ledotmat Musique label on the 14th of September. 

Among the artists as Stavaris, John Patter, Phun Thomas, and a few more,  brainwasher Koneliūnas appeared with the debut release. The track Grapes and Lemonade were born when summer plans were still ahead and autumn felt as far as it could be. Well, the future is here, so as the debut. Grab your glass for this sparkling sweetness!
