Bordello A Parigi’s latest release brings together two heavyweights for something particularly special. Aroy Dee, founder of M>O>S Recordings, has been at the coalface of machine music for more than twenty years; Marco Antonio Spaventi, an exceptional composer with over a decade’s experience. The pair offered the tear-stained vocoder ballad of “Desire” two years back, now they return for “Sorrow.” Crisp rhythms and considered synth scales form the bedrock from which J.C.’s emotion wrung lyrics ensnare. A tale of lovelorn pain, a psychological journey of lamentations and mistakes, the track adopts the heartache of wave romance and contrasts it with clean musical lines. The “Space Dub” of the flip transforms those powerful lyrics to give space for brightness to enter. Cascading chords and sunlight break through as arpeggio quivers introduce vocoder vocals in this superb re-interpretation that balances warmth with frigid shades.

The thought of him made her blood boil, her fists clench and her brow sweat. What had begun as shock had soon been replaced by sadness and swiftly that had contorted itself into anger. The person she'd known all these years wasn't really who she thought he was, and now she couldn't even bear to look at him, it were as though he had become a stranger. He'd been exiled from her home, from her life, from her inner circle, but there was a mountain to climb when it came to exiling him from her mind.

After racking up appearances on Me Me Me and Riotvan, among others, German-born, Brooklyn-based producer Tony Y Not crash lands on Live At Robert Johnson with a stellar debut. She's already built a distinct sound through her previous releases which orbits around metallic synth lines, pulsing dynamic rhythms and dark moody atmospheres, all of which come together on her new three-tracker. Titled Your Exile In My Mind, the EP takes cues from techno, euro disco, acid, Italo and wave, and is without a doubt made with a dark dance floor in mind.

Apollon Telefax brings his unique synth craft and vintage drum machines to a new EP on Sinchi Music that features solo cuts, a collaboration with Max Rockid and remixes from Jepe and Tallac.

Apollon Telefax is a deep digging vinyl enthusiast, collector of music making hardware, illustrator and lover of science fiction, nature, and surrealism. All of this feeds into his innovative musical output as he blends house, electro, Italo, synth pop and EBM into transcendent trips on labels like Disco Bump, Calypso Records and Epicure Records.

He goes it alone to open up this EP with 'Nineteen', a tough disco cut with cosmic arps and frazzled bass powering the voyage through the stars. Darkened voices are offset by ever brighter melodies in this most vibrant of tracks. The fantastic 'Shine' is a collaboration with producer, DJ, engineer and Red Bull associate Max Rockid. Max is come Kazan, Tatarstan, he’s the founder of Rockid Sound Machine and has released on labels like Burning Sole and No Hlaf Steppin. This track is defined by a deadpan emo vocal as squirming leads burrow into the night and cold Italo synth sequences dart about the mix over tight drums and bass.

Berlin-based Portuguese talent Jepe serves up two remixes that see him push his sound as he always has before on labels like Diynamic. The first, a 'Nineteen' 303 Retake, is a cacophony of percussion, analogue drums and cowbells underpinned by lively acid lines and a slapping bassline. The second, a 'Shine' Refax, is more expansive, with big chords designed to get hands in the air and elevate a dance floor.

Tallac, an American DJ and producer based in Berlin, brings his mix of house, disco and Italo back to this label, having appeared here before. His remix of 'Shine' is an all out explosion of colour and retro-future disco grooves with steamy vocals providing the finishing touches in style.

This is another characterful EP of left of centre sounds from Sinchi Music and as always with this socially minded label, sales profits will be donated to the Sinchi Foundation to support indigenous peoples worldwide.

The remix's popular vocals control the direction, while cheerful twisting and turning synths underline the all-electronic way accompanied by pulsing energy. The »Full Circle« RIOTVAN master Peter Invasion and his as close as frequent collaborator Gregor Habicht are creating is a beating journey in three parts that leaves no choice but guide and drive you through yet a further cosmic universe. With a fast heartbeat, Zombies of Miami throw you into the orbit of »The War Is Over But The Fight Goes On«. There is no way of escaping the perpetual smooth circling vocal. Following on from Melodic Motion, Martin Matiske returns to Bordello A Parigi with a track that first appeared over a decade ago. Released on his first album on Stilleben, “Dimension Phantasy” has been dusted down and given a new lease of life. This extended version bubbles with the same energy as the original. Steady kicks give way to scaling chords as a racing piece of future gazing brilliance takes hold. Melodies are addictive, yet cold, with a common ground between disco and electro being forged. Sharing the 12” real estate are two good friends, each offering their own remix. Captain Mustache is a musician who can turn his hand to any style. Here the French producer remains true to the Matiske’s version, adding layers of warmth while maintaining the Springtime coolness of beats and harmonies. The flip is given over to Play Paul, a trailblazing figure in electronics. BPMs are reduced as sweetened lines take flight in the “Oh Lord! Remix”.
