The Scandinavian climate was brisk and fierce. In the northern parts of Sweden there was little sound to be heard as they stared up towards the mountainside. A tiny hut could be seen in the distance, a light flickering from a small fire ablaze outside. This was to be the place, the only musical landmark amidst the outback of the north. Acid would play, acid nord. 

Here is the latest release in celebration of five years of Power Plant Records. The release sees the likes of La Fleur and Acid Mondays contribute but it is the Knutsson/Berg track which we have chosen to feature.

The crew had gathered amidst the sprawling estate. The smoke flourished high up above as it escaped from the heat of the grill. The smell of meat lingered in the air as the warm rays shone down upon them. Many beers would be drank this day, many memories shared. Music blasted from the boombox sat upon the grass. A barbeque skit played loud. 
Here is the latest EP to emerge from the Tartelet Records camp. It sees Kickflip Mike and Julius Conrad deliver a four track EP built for the summer.

The secrets of the crypt would stand the test of time. The sirens called from the cliffy peaks up above as the waves crashed against the rock face. Boats would pass upon the murky waters but none would manage to charter the stormy seas. They would not get near, not now, not ever. Nobody would find the sirens crypt. Nobody.

He would have to count his lucky stars and pray for forgiveness. He was blessed, and he would walk the earth again once more. Salvation had come.

Marcellus & Healy - Funk Machines (Original Mix)

London based DJ and production trio, Jaded, make their debut on Hannah Wants’ Etiquette this month with their brand new ‘Bang Bang’ EP. Best known for their quirky and bumpy House driven vocal tracks and with previous successful releases on powerhouse labels including Toolroom, Black Butter, This Ain’t Bristol, dirtybird and Mad Decent’s Higher Ground, the talented trio are proving their production prowess with countless streams, top chart positions and sold out live shows across the world. Title track, ‘Bang Bang’ kicks off the EP; an energetic vocal cut that will instantly get the floors moving with shuffling drums, a playful bassline, compelling grooves and resonant vocal chops throughout. B-side ‘Feel’ follows suit featuring the hypnotic vocals of Eda Eren alongside rolling percussion, punchy basslines, infectious drum patterns, moody chords and cosmic synths.

Jaded - Bang Bang

Ellum Audio mainstay Raxon is back with two more of his cosmic techno wonders.

Raxon hails from Egypt, is Barcelona based and has risen through the ranks with a well crafted and emotive techno sound on labels like Diynamic, Kompakt, Cocoon and more. Last summer he played huge parties like Resistance Ibiza at Privilege as well as festivals like DGTL. Though he has made big moves in recent years, Raxon has been deeply involved in the scene for more than two decades.

Characterful opener 'Loop Machine' is a dark and playful tune with loopy vocals layered over a rolling drum beat. The pixelated synths spray about the mix and the whole thing is destined to make the club bounce as one.

The excellent 'Love Lapse' has a retro feel with its 80s synth chords and widescreen astral atmospheres. A busy bassline does plenty of work to keep things moving, while turbulent blasts of synths and prickly percussion add vital texture to this late night jam.

These are two more forward-looking and evocative tracks from the ever on-point Raxon.
