“Mondo Nuovo” is a trilogy concept by Venetian born artist Simone de Kunovich. 

It is the story of an exploration into an imaginary remote area of our planet, an exotic place where Nature is still uncontaminated, answering only to its own logic. 

Following the first chapter on Superconscious Records, Simone de Kunovich takes us on a journey amongst peaceful native tribes (“Cerchio Magico”), obscure esoteric rituals (“Serpiente Cosmica”), psychedelic delusions (“Paradiso delle Sabbie Mobili”) and breathtaking discoveries (“As I Was Moving Ahead..”) 

Once again the project has been inspired by his Cinema studies, which were focused mainly on 70s World movies by the likes of Herzog and Jodorowski - “Mondo Nuovo” is an intricate and rich opera of sampling and layering, capable of connecting bits from obscure Italian libraries, vocal shots by the G-Man of “Half Life” and monologues from Louis Malle’s 1981 cult movie “My Dinner With Andre”.

Up in the icy north, were the population is so small that the people that the musicians you really click with are bound to come from somewhere else musically, 3 musical brothers (Lárus, Patås, Kim Dürbeck) set out to create a platform for their creative outlet, a club-focused label devoid of genre-catering and specific-sound-tailoring , a label that clings solely to the spirit pf playfulness. 

To get things going theyve curated a digital-only V/A with a broad range of likeminded playful producers delivering anything from sunrisey trance-tracks, footworked jungle journeys, polyrhytmic breaks, to spa acid.

As darkness fell, the city came to life. The streets were filled with people, the bars teemed with thrill seekers, each and every person searching for an escape; a way to blow off steam and be freed from the constraints of life and work. Minds would be expanded and bodies would be moved, while they had no commitments time didn't matter, it stood still until the new week rolled around. But that would remain a distant thought for now...

Active during the early 90s, We Smile were a three-piece band who were part of the Hamburger Schule, a musical movement that took cues from Neue Deutsche Welle and married them with punk, grunge, pop and witty lyricism. We Smile's own take on the sound flirted with the traditions of pop but used brittle guitars and commanding vocals sung in German and English.

30 years after the original release of their second album Für Die Anderen, Hamburg label Couldn't Care More have commissioned a batch of remixes that breath new life into several of the tracks. There's interpretations from Die Vögel and Egoexpress' Mense Reents, Tokyo artist Tentenko and Optimo's JD Twitch, alongside a remastered version of the group's original track 'Kind Und Kegel'.
