Pureblast returns with a fresh Rock infused EP named Psycho. Six new songs blending big beat, drum’n bass and trance with their touch of madness. A powerful piece shaped for the live with a nameless energy from start to finish. Psycho dives the duo into a new sonic and visual universe in which they reveal their alter egos. A more sharpened and distorted sound that would transform a concert hall into a dance floor or build up a club's energy to the level of a punk show. The first single going by the same name is supported by a remix from acclaimed dj and producer Roza Terenzi. A way for the duo to push the boundaries of their music and give it a real club aspect, trademark of the band. The full EP is set to be released on September 19th with a release party at La Station Gare des Mines in Paris that same day. The duo will perform their new music for the first time, surrounded by prestigious guests.

If anything, Stojche’s take on Detroit inspired techno rarely requires your permission for engagement. The fifth installment of his own label, Tangible Assets, is no different. This singular producer always manages
to conjure up otherworldly atmospheres that resonate from head to feet. With that said, we could spend the next three paragraphs throwing around adjectives and splashing colorful words all over this press release regarding his sound, the aesthetic within each track in this release, and we could even volunteer a side helping of words that somehow make sense of this young producers studio ability.

One thing however is for certain. TANG005’s true charm lies in its ability to capture an honesty and sincerity that’s as captivating as it is transcendent. There’s a clinical yet organic approach that Stojche
adopts time and time again in formulating his Tangible Asset releases, and if anything, TANG005 should provide further evidence of his depth, maturity and innate ability to create enchantment.
This record is wrapped in captivating moments born from flourishing stabs, twilight synths, rolling charges of calculated manic rhythms and subatomic motions living within a range of intricately programmed beats.
Add to that a host of cinematic sweeps that develop into harmonic clouds of melancholy and you’re one step closer to the true romance etched within the grooves of this record.

Once again, Stojche has created an EP that catalyses imagination. A series of intense voyages with thoughtfully considered moments and movements that have been executed by a man well in tune with his
craft.

Zeb Wayne returns with a majestic and scintillating song titled ‘Wulfman’, featuring a trio of top tier remixers including Alva Noto, Calibre and Radio Slave.

Following the release of ‘Float’ on Rekids last year, ‘Wulfman’ is a beautiful song that demonstrates how musically versed Wayne is as a producer, blending a serene vocal by Ziwi, with intricate sounds to create a truly beautiful song from start to finish.

Alva Noto, who composed the film score for The Revenant alongside Ryuichi Sakamoto, as well as being the co-founder of esteemed minimal imprint Raster Noton, is the first of three heavyweight remixers. The renowned German producer employs his signature elements of grit, static and glitch resulting in an inimitable melancholic cut.

Well respected for traversing numerous electronic music sub-genres, as evident in his recent album on Craig Richards’ The Nothing Special, Calibre ups the energy in his remix using sultry synths, syncopated percussion and mesmerising effects.

Concluding the colossal package, Rekids founder Radio Slave creates a club-ready reinterpretation of his own, complete with fine-tuned kicks, looped vocals and a heady bassline.

In the distant galaxy far away there gathered a colony, a band of brothers who were at one with the stars and the far reaches of the universe. On planet play there was no concept of time or limitations. They were a free wheeling gang of vagabonds who had touched down on an entity which would become theirs alone. The sea roared a fierce shade of blue and green as the lightening from the stuttering clouds up above circled in chaos. Go find them, up in the sky. 

William The Squid appears on a new EP as part of the 'Universal Broadcast' series on Craigie Knowes records. The label has assembled a special crew of producers to appear on the four track EP which also includes a final outing for the Deep Space Orchestra moniker.

This month Hilltown Disco will be launching their Angel Series. All proceeds from it will go to Dundee based mental health charity, Art Angel. 

'Collecting Crystals' is one of the tracks on the first release in the series. It's from YUYAY records main man Robyrt Hecht & CC9184.

Artists also involved include Steven Simpson, J Wax, Crossmods & Ansata.

PREMIERE: Robyrt Hecht & CC9184 - Collecting Crystals (Hilltown Disco)

Synth wizard James Holden teams up with Polish clarinet guru Waclaw Zimpel for a four track EP of deliciously krauty improvisations, recorded over four days back in the summer of 2018.

Finding himself at a loose end in London in between UK live shows, Zimpel (and on 'Tuesday' and 'Wednesday' his longtime collaborator guitarist Jakub Ziolek) decided to put the downtime to good use, joining Holden in his London studio for a series of musical experiments, with the goal of completing one track per day.

An in-the-moment lyrical conversation between alto clarinet and modular synth, judiciously supplemented by guitar, organ, voice and assorted percussion glued together as atmospheric tapey overdubs, 'Long Weekend' is a meeting of two like-minded masters of their instrument, whose  disparate musical journeys now converge in a shared love of all things hypnotic and trancey.

Holden & Zimpel - Saturday

For its second release, Russian label Analog Concept brings you four powerful and floor-ready electro tracks from rising stars in a dedicated genre. Starting with our favourite Liverpool producer nowadays – Reedale Rise and his frisky tune Borderland that can easily work out at 5 am as well as at 5 pm. Joyful and broken rhythm promises it will shake your body properly. Simon has been seen on labels like Frustrated Funk, 20:20 Vision, Kondi etc.
The next in line is Nullptr from the east side of the Island. Label boss of d-tached records and co-promoter of Cambridge-based electro night Motherchip Connexion. Coming from labels such as Detroit Underground and CPU Records it is expected this guy brings only premium sounds. He delivers a strong and vibrant track that you cannot remain indifferent to.
Side B is reserved for a Belgian producer know by the name of Datawave with a catalog of finest releases in the last few years on labels like AC Records, Vortex Traks, Fundamental Records, Natural Sciences and the Croatian producer Ivna Ji with British label Brokntoys behind her. Datawave delivers a tune that keeps the atmospheric idea of the label at heart but experiments with driving rhythms and acid lines. Last but not least is Ivnais track Alpha Dial, composition that isn’t focused on dancefloors but instead entices the listener into a slowly progressing story, heavily loaded with dreamy synth lines.
