Time To Sleep

He looked down upon the crystal clear water and yet saw little but black. He had been hoping that he might perhaps spot a glance of his reflection or a glimmer of hope beneath the deep blue but there was little to live beyond the depths. The boat sailed carelessly forwards through the night: beaten and bashed by the waves the storm must now be at its terrible worst. He kneeled down, looked up to the dirty clouds up above and said his last words before the sun presented itself once more. 

Worth Way is set to release a new four track EP on The Other Planet. Deep, heady house with a soulful edge and a twist of heart.

Yarni’s ‘Entkommen’ was a well-received debut album on this label last year, and now comes the first of two remixes EPs. AWITW, ATDHE, Harmonious, Lauer, Tales of Voodoo and IPG V Yarni all serve up brilliant new versions ahead of part two in September.
Night Noise regular AWITW opens things up and channels his Balearic senses on ‘Agitator’ creating a CFCF like vibe. It’s awash with rippling synths and beach-y grooves to carry you away.
Next up, IPG follow on from their recent disco hit with Hot Toddy, joining forces here with Yarni for a remix of ‘Granny’s Garden’ that is blissed out and dreamy thanks to the heavenly chords and gentle percussion. Then it’s, ATDHE a newcomer from Yarni’s hometown of Sheffield who breathes new life, broken beats & shimmering melodies into ‘Waterfall’.
For his remix, Dutch producer ‘Harmonious’ takes us on a beautifully harmonic journey with rubbery kicks powering along the thoughtful groove. After that is another newcomer in the form of Tales Of Voodoo who take the delightful ‘Goin Live in Rabat’, strip it back and turn it into a percussion heavy, Sergio Mendes styled slice of Latin tinged dance floor action. Last of all is an alternative disco remix of ’28 Years of It’ from Tuff City Kid member Lauer who uses all his know how to cook up a euphoric remix with big retro chords and effortlessly summery vibes. 
All six of these remixes offering something different but equally essential for the dance floor and mark another superb release from Night Noise Music.

Felix Leifur has seriously been putting in some hours in the studio. His new EP titled Hamburg 3011 will be released on the mighty Dirt Crew Recordings, available on wax on 26th October and digitally on the 29th. The EP in true Felix style is house music influenced by jazz and hip hop. We have the pleasure of presenting the premiere of the opening track, which gives a great introduction to the EP.

The infectiously hazy first track of the Icelandic man’s newest EP is titled Between Us. The piece starts out with a spacey layering of tribal drums, which are looped to create an infectious rhythm. A hypnotic vocal floats into the mix to keep the tension spiralling, before a deep kick drum drops in and brings some order. A deep sustained almost disharmonic chord rings out to solidify a darker tone in the track, which is complimented by a groovy yet simple bass line at 1 minute 20 seconds.

The energy of the track swirls around in true Felix Leifur style, although this feels slightly different to his previous work, it feels more experimental, as if he is pushing the boundaries just a touch further. An open hat rings through the mix to get this track swinging and a distant jazz trumpet sings melodies in the distance, before hitching a ride from the outskirts to arrive at the forefront of the mix. The filter of a synth roars open to provide some grit, some dirt, and supplies some more emotion.

The eclectic feel of this EP is very powerful, and one to definitely check out.

Manchester based Tommy & Silent K bring us a real dreamy slice of bliss that is most definitely aimed at that ‘Zoot O’Clock’ time at the after party. A tone shift from the rest of the EP, this track is for the deeper dance floors or those balearic sunset style sets.

Valby Rotary, a label co-founded and curated by Louf & Tom VR return with 006. Both founders have been making serious noise within the underground scene as of late, with highly acclaimed releases on Silver Bear Recordings & Midland's Graded respectively. 

We feature the title track of the most recent Valby EP: Infinity Room; a blissful insight into Louf’s delicate production style; the track offers tapered singing keys woven inbetween a raw and stripped back percussion set. Louf's ear for ambient tranquility has never been more on point.
