After years of being lost at sea, the ancient scrolls containing the long sought after fragments of X-Coast were discovered. It was decided that the transcripts be pressed onto plates and scattered throughout the realms, so that the age-old knowledge may never be forgotten.

On the front side of the disc, we deciphered two XTC transmissions. The first, "XTC I" dates from the original session. The second is the final attempt known to us, "XTC V".

The reverse side unfolds with an interpretation of "XTC V" by the prophet known as Foamek, who brings it to new, uncharted reaches of euphoria. The next scroll, titled "Horns" is a real collector's gem, played just once before during the inaugural X-Coast Boiler Room - transmission Belgrade.

The plate ends with what we believe is the first X-Coast session ever recorded. Simply called "Horizon”, it was evident that the inhabitants of the island stumbled upon something legendary.

This is a one-time opportunity to obtain the scrolls. Do not let them fall into the wrong hands!

Undying Love

The sky was alive with a roaring melody and an electric undercurrent. Travelling through the early morning they would soon arrive at their destination on the other side of the globe, a magic ride with a spectacular touchdown. The plane hummed and buzzed as the mechanics began to spring into life, the wings moved under the strain of the robotics and inside the cabin the pressure dropped. It was a beautiful moment and the crowd in the base below began to cheer. This was flying. 

North Lake is a producer whom we have always felt to be remarkably underrated, previous appearances have seen him release prominently on Permanent Vacation, Resista, Origami Sound and Ellum Audio. Now he delivers a new EP for Phonica Records on their in house label.

The ship travelled through the deep, dark sky. The stars flickered and danced under the spectacular gaze of the night cruiser as it careered across the wild beyond. The warm air grew in temperature as they moved ever closer towards the burning sun, the metallic plates fizzed and buzzed under the strain of the heat and soon there would be risk of an explosion. It was up to the pilot to ensure that they moved with agility and at quickfire speed. Darting between meteors and moving objects they needed to find a way out... fast. 

Red Ember Records have returned with an exciting string of new releases, the label founded by Ewan Jansen remains a pivotal force within house music and the latest EP is a testament to his taste. Larry Houl will release three tracks on the 7th of December. We'll let the EP speak for itself.

His brain whirred and buzzed with a hive of electronic activity, the pulses vibrated and moved with pace and vigour between interconnecting pathways and his life was alive. Some described him as being deep in thought, whilst others had quite simply believed him to have lost his mind. There was little way of knowing what was truly going on in there from the outside world for he was a bittersweet lost cause, a man caught in the middle of a delicate situation. His time would come, one day, deep minded would become more than it was. 

Varum is set to release a new EP on an up and coming label which caught our attention as of late. A Friend In Need seems focussed and well organised, an imprint with character and firm taste.

The behaviour was closely monitored by closed circuit television. Each individual was under surveillance and would be for a long time to come, it had been their own choice, their own decision and the prize at the end of the experiment would act as their reward. In the meantime they were simply a human pattern, a pathological test by which science would hope to benefit in the long run. Inside the lab a group of observers watched on with promise and intrigue, who would fold first?

Compost Records are celebrating a spectacular 25 years in the business with the release of a 10 x 12” box set in 2019. They've drawn for the big guns who do not hold back on delivering the goods. Roman Flugels remix of Beanfield is a must.

There was a dangerous group which danced delicately on the fringes of society, they had bad intentions and a wicked core. Some called them a rebel fract whilst others felt that they were far more organised than given credit for. Flares roared and beamed in the dead of night as they began to gather on the dark corners of the street. They were masked and vigilant, watchful for any threats which might come and go in the midst of the black night. Soon the city would burn beneath the glow of flames. 

Trinidadian Deep appears on a new EP for Australian based record label, Chubby. Then remixed with a powerful style and a distinct presence by the pioneering force that is Vincent Floyd.

The movement was everything, the way she danced was like a beautiful force of nature which entered the room in a flurry of fun and excitement. The whole room was fixated on her performance as she moved elegantly across the sprawling stage. The spotlights flashed from up high above and the sound of applause was rapturous and delightful to the ears. It was as if she were dancing all alone, as if nobody else was watching and she had little point to prove. A careless figure with an honest soul who moved but for a care in the world. 

X-Coast on a new EP for Dansu Discs, a good look all round with some banging remixes to boot. Tommy Holohan delivers the heat on a remix of "Bailando". Big love.

Holohan also brings back "Costa Del Rush" an old school early 2000s inspired techno piece and "South Beach Burnin Bins", a peak time jungle influenced banger with a remix by the headstrong duo, Clouds.
