Bunzinelli has been personally involved in serving sonic treats to the world via his label and mix series Chambre Noire. He was also part of the team behind Cosmic Tones which in 2019 released 'Montreal Pleiades' featuring his first musical outing alongside local major players Priori, Dust-e-1, URA, Temple's M. Salaciak & R. Weng (the wizard behind our first release as Dj Medallion).

What to lose? The fear!? How do you feel to being human today in 2020's?

2020, a year that will be forever engraved in our memories as Year One of the Covid debacle.
So much has already been said about it that we feel there is no need for more.
However, 2020 was also the year when wonderful Malka Tuti label released Tapan’s remix to Decha’s song Niebla from her sold-out debut album Hielo Boca as part of MT0028 Decha - Hielo Boca Remixes. This remix led to a fresh collaboration between the Serbian duo and the German vocalist, which in time bred a brand new track, titled simply TWENTY.
On Twenty, Tapan’s massive bass lines, heavy kicks and their sense for drama and epicness, meets Viktoria Wehrmeister aka Decha’s soft poetic lyrics and tribal style. The result is a massive slow yet heavy tribal industrial track for the alternative dance floors and late night situations in dark dark basements.
The record is comprised of 4 tracks, an original version and a beatless version as well as a deep and trippy dancehall interpretation by one of the best duos and half planet's favourite remixers Full Circle (aka Joakim & Alexis Le-Tan) and a punky mid-tempo banger by Mexican maestro and total inspiration Rebolledo who gives his signature sonic attitude to his interpretation of the original track.

Futuro is the debut release from Manchester producer Tom Sharkett. Having grown up playing in bands he was in his own words, ‘a little late to the party with clubbing’, and naively saw himself as someone who wasn’t a part of that world. But - after experimenting with new equipment and sounds while recording his band's (W. H. Lung) first record, he was drawn deeper into the world of electronics. This, followed by countless nights on the road trying to find the hottest post-gig happenings, helped his tastes take a definite stylistic shift towards the discotheque.

After visits to Manchester’s White Hotel for nights like Red Laser and Wet Play, he soon felt the liberation of the club experience and realised what he’d been missing. Most importantly, it wasn’t a different world at all, reminding him of the DIY scene he'd been part of in his formative years in cities like Manchester and Leeds. It became clear that the weird, wonky and disparate elements that made up the earlier music he loved, also had their place on the dancefloor.  

It was in the Calder Valley that Futuro came to life. Named after the UFO shaped houses of the 70s, of which Todmorden was unlikely home to an early prototype, the EP was written with an intentionally blind use of the half-broken equipment and synthesisers Sharkett had amassed during his time in bands, creating electronic music with a punk ethos. Leaving Italy for Leuven, “Haste” is Sharkett’s take on EBM, a twisted amalgam of Front 242 inspired electronics and pizzicato melodies perfect for cyber-goths past, present and future. Sprawling second track “Is/Morning/And” wakes from its daydream drenched in last night’s chemicals, ecstatic arps eventually giving way to the guttural thrust of an acidic sequence. Discoid percussion, clattering cowbell and spacewalking pads join the party. “Sister Mary Immaculate” (named in reference to the late Caroline Aherne) makes a quantum leap to early 80s Rimini. Built around a throbbing bassline and nuanced percussion, this dark Italo snarler ups the intensity throughout until a tunnelling sequence burrows deep into your brain.  The verve for the vintage is put to one side for contemporary closer “Mind In Motion”. Sunlight, sonar sweeps and hazy pads abound on a haze-house anthem featuring the vocal talents of the excellent softlizard.

Like a movie scene or a dream he couldn't wake from, he passed flashing lights at warp speed with no sense of direction. An experience reminiscent of a nostalgic 90s music video, with faded colours and bodies moving in ways we'd never seen before; all of this stimulated by a simplistic sound, one that’s fascinating, one that transports you back in time to those retro ‘MTV Top 20 Dance Tracks’ TV shows that seemed to play over and over and over again...

Your Planet Is Next is no stranger to making minimalist, low-bit remakes of huge classics. They’re bold, dry and stripped back covers that place you in some sort of hypnotic trance. Having already put his own spin on the likes of ‘Believe’ by Cher and ‘Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others’ by The Smiths, he now takes on Snap!'s 1992 dance hit 'Rhythm is a Dancer' as part of Warning's annual 7" outing. It's a noticeable contrast to the original; equal parts melancholic and energetic, the track weaves together pitched-up vocals, clean synth stabs and grooving synth melodies, while on the flip Warning family member Jotel California provides an electro breaks version of Grauzone's Eisbær.
