Max Bunt, aka Fabian, delivers 1 hour and 30 minutes of 100% Swiss productions from the late 70s to the 80s. A real delight. 

A regular at Camp Cosmic, Max Bunt is a flea market enthusiast and is always on the lookout for unique sounds that leave us, the listeners, both surprised and dreaming. 

He has quickly established himself as a figure for cosmic music fans in Europe, thanks to his unique mixes.

Following on from his “Georgia Keep Me Vital” track which featured on our Bonnie Tropical 6 compilation in February, we welcome Ravelston back into our wee party palace for a full EP release. 

Ravelston recently relocated to Edinburgh after twelve years on the Bristol scene. He hosts Dot Joining and Freaks & Beats on Edinburgh’s EHFM and Bristol’s 1020 Radio respectively. He also co-runs Moving Heads Festival and The Washing Machine Soundsystem. 

As a DJ and producer he digs from broadly eclectic tastes with a deep fondness for leftfield, cosmic, and psychedelic sounds. He's often found idling in the lower tempos, but with a keen determination to start a dance. A heady blend of chuggers and freaky bits - plus house music.

For this EP he's provided us with four low tempo cosmic bangers and two spooky interludes. These instrumental electronic tracks capture various vibes, vices and pastimes that Ravelston enjoyed whilst living down south Ravelston’s Bristol Pleasures EP was produced between his former home of Bristol, and his new one in Edinburgh, and we very much hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

PREMIERE: Ravelston - The Druid’s Chop [Paradise Palms Records]

A 12” filled to the brim with talent, Schrödinger’s Box have collected three juggernauts of wave tainted electronics for the latest. Dmitry Distant teams up with Norwell for a partnership of serious intent. The pair deliver a trio of blackened tracks, opening with the ghoulish caverns of “Transient State” before the long shadows, acid stains and painful echoes of “Visionary.” The duo venture into brighter territory with the computer funk of “On A Verge of Veil”, crisp beats and bubbling melodies changing the tone. Following Beyond the War, Cute Heels returns to occupy the flip. The Colombian is immediately on it with the swirling mirrors of “Kuriyaki Horizons,” a kick drum offering solid footing in this entrancing piece. An aloof, yet alluring, disco hook takes hold for “Litua”, a low thump keeping time. The finale arrives with the clipped industrial gait of “Determinated In Order.” Marching to a military beat, this work is industrial inspired with Cute Heels keeping a close ear to the pressure release gauge.

The Glasgow-based entity run by MR TC & Lo Kindre is on its way to unveil acoustic kraut and minimalist gems from the Berlin’s early-2000 era. Yes, the one fantasized for its warm nights of electronic pleasures.

So what? Did you think it was the only thing going in the big B back then? The Kulku’s 5-track EP definitely proves you wrong by taking from the 70s through scorched no-wave, cathartic freak folk and even softer acts like our premiere, a counting rhyme made of childish idiophones and sweet sweet singings.

Her phone screen stared back at her, its brightness forced her to squint in the darkness of her bedroom. She poured over her phone night and day; getting lost in apps that nobody needed; falling into video wormholes in the depths of social media; doom scrolling sections of the internet that she never knew existed. Without it she felt as though she were missing a limb, it had become an extension of her very being - how could she possibly live in a world without cute cat videos, emoji conversations and countless filters at her fingertips?

Leeds-based independent radio station NARR was launched just a few years ago as a space to share and discover experimental music from across the world, from new beat and post-punk to ballroom and noise. As a way to raise money for their studio costs and the running of the station, they've announced their first compilation cassette that's comprised of 10 tracks from NARR residents and friends. Made up of music from the likes of Monophonik, Bleaching Agent and Zmatsusi, the release digs into the outsider sounds at the heart of the station including new wave, synth-pop, avant-garde electronics and dubwise selections.

Puma & The Dolphin make a welcome return to Invisible Inc and once again deliver the goods.

Worth mentioning here that the Phantom Impulses EP has all come together rather quickly, which is exciting. It actually only just got inserted into the release schedule just over a week ago, shortly after new year. It was mastered just 5 nights ago and the artwork started 3 days ago...so it's happening fast. It's a refreshing feeling when you think about the slow pace of the vinyl situation at the moment. Kind of like how it should be (and how it used to be with DIY private presses back in the day).

This also means no DJ feedback yet....but since sending out some promo yesterday I'm told the opening track "Golden Coast" will be appearing on Optimo's NTS show next week! So... off to a good start.
