Burgeoning house talent Secondcity returns to Saved with the highly impressive Feel It EP. The Chicago born producer delivers a wide-ranging EP that flows between deep house, heady, relentless techno and more laidback house struts across its four tracks. Displaying both his innate connection to the dancefloor and a versatile dexterity, Secondcity offers another reminder of why he is such an in-demand producer.

The EP sets off in full flight with the powerful, dubby “Feel It.” A fully loaded bottom end pulsates and drives with real purpose as a subtle but addictive groove provides the backbone. Resisting the temptation to explode into wild frenzy, the track chuggs away with a controlled but bristling energy. “Terrace Tech” is more intense, locking into a heady, druggy, heads-down groove that remains unflinching till the last. It has a raw and organic feel but manages to include a sense of funk into its highly hypnotic personality.

“The Lines” brings the pace down somewhat, settling into an offbeat but funky house strut. It’s rolling bassline and inventive hook give the track its distinctive flavor, just as the punchy beats and FX inject the momentum. On “Avec” the collaboration between Secondcity and Kydus, the pair combine a succinct groove with a real sense of swing. The bassline sways beneath some funkified percussion that gives the track an almost laidback but party-centred attitude.

The A-side opens with the title track: spacious arpeggios and dreamy textures create a soundscape that invites you to get lost in the music, a tribute to the carefree spirit of the ’90s. "Techla" follows with a more minimal, introspective vibe. Its hypnotic bassline feels like a journey into the unknown.

The B-side starts with "Somo", a bright and catchy track full of sunny melodies and feel-good energy, evoking Italo disco moods. Finally, "Flusso Libero" closes the EP with elegance and depth. It features a unique vocal sample that stands out in Feel Fly’s style, tying everything together with a nod to ’90s nostalgia.

The Hardway Bros went outre-mer, To seek Mamman Brigitte so fair,
With pockets full of tree frog songs, And voodoo drums and silken thongs.

They sailed beyond the infinite sky, Where Mari Galante’s beauties lie,
Through heat and rain and humid air, They combed the island everywhere.

“Oh Mamman Brigitte!” came their cry, “We’ve brought you frogs that never die!
They sing at night, they sing at noon, They sing beneath the heavy moon!”

But she just laughed a laugh so wide, And vanished with the turning tide,
And left the Bros to stand and stare, At sea and sky and humid air.

Now Hardway Bros play cards with frogs, And sleep on very uncomfortable logs,
While somewhere near the outre-mer, Mamman Brigitte is drinking beer.

The latest Hardway Bros EP is a result of some recent downtime in Mari Galante:

DC Promo Tracks: Jus Jam "Cloud Appreciation"

It's truly a great honor for our label to have a master and absolute pioneer like @roman-fluegel on board for our 14th release. The track he chose to edit dates back to the fabulous '80s, and the idea was born when our hero closed a four-hour set with the original, leaving everyone speechless, including us. "Ooh to be ah" by Kajagoogoo is a critic to frivolity, a game and a challenge at the same time. And this reinterpretation, thanks to our artist's trademark electronic sounds, will captivate you from the first listen.

Gimme Some got remixed by Brian Ring. This Berlin based Irish guy is known for his unique style somewhere between house, disco and an euphoric touch of indie dance. With his interpretation of the original version by Jakob Mäder and JULIENT, Brian twists it into a dancefloor friendly and intelligent looped club track. Either for warmup in a cozy bar setting or a hot summer night, this one got vibes: organic disco inspired drums, looped vocal snippets and this reduced melody elements from the original Gimme Some. And of course some classic Brian Ring choir synths we all love!

Deep house legend Franck Roger returns to Vibe Me To The Moon for a second sophisticated EP. The accomplished Frenchman serves up a trio of timeless tracks for Nightsteppaz's cultured NYC imprint.
   
Franck Roger has long been integral to deep house. A dedicated crate digger and master beat maker, he's been defining the genre for more than 20 years with timeless tracks on his own Home Invasion as well as cult outlets like Nu Groove Records and more. He has made an art of deepness with supple grooves and tactile synths that are meticulously crafted and perfectly reduced. He has already served up his ‘Can U Believe EP’ and a remix of Nightsteppaz on this label this year and now backs it up with another standout offering. 
 
Opener ‘The Truth’ distils everything that makes Roger’s sound so compelling — sultry spoken word, warm, late-night pads, and elegantly slinky drums that ease their way into both body and mind. It’s a masterclass in mid-tempo house, elevated by rich, immersive sound design and an emotional undercurrent that lingers long after the dancing stops. ‘The Calling’ follows with elastic rhythms and a celestial blend of painterly pads and twinkling melodies. There’s a spaciousness to the mix that invites you in deeper, while the rolling kicks keep hips engaged and hearts lifted. Closing cut ‘The Passage’ shifts into a denser, more grounded groove. Its weighty kicks and textured toms build a persuasive rhythm while dreamy pads and drifting synth motifs swirl above. It’s effortlessly danceable and a fitting final note for an EP that’s equal parts soul and sound system.
