This was a solid like no other, a chemical with properties so powerful it might ignite and power the very core of the earth itself. Deep beneath us all it was there, under the very ground on which we walked day by day, a forgotten compound which facilitated the very existence of us all.

The planet continued to spin, a small bulb in an otherwise chaotic and expansive universe. What else was out there was not known but the rock upon which we stand was as solid and as good a guess as any as to the chemical energy which made us all.

Deep cobalt, it kept us all afloat.

Kyle Hall remains one of the most innovative producers in the Dance and Electronic music circuit – pushing the sensibilities and limitations of House and Techno through experimental use of dusty sounds and grooves. The Detroit artist moves firmly forward with a faster paced EP built for the faster dancefloors.

‘An Apparition’ introduces the hazy feeling of AutoClub’s ‘Apparition’ EP with a thundering kick, dubbed-out chords, and a mysterious vocal sample topped off with a funky 303 interlude. The A2 track, ‘CoupCoup’, then builds late-night suspense with looming strings and chords driven by deep, groove-soaked percussion.

‘Molecular’ kicks off the B side with eerie vocal samples and gorgeous, otherworldly synth work, held together with a heavy broken beat and a morphing acid line. This is before ‘It’s You’ summarises the EP’s concept with a mesmerising exploration through propulsive percussion, deep bass and immersive, evolving chords. Lastly, ‘Delos Infidelity’ joins the release as a digital bonus with smooth, dreamlike melodies and detailed, interlaid grooves.

Mike McClure and Craig Lambert form AutoClub. Craig, known as Midnight Music Club, and McClure, going by the alias of Autokinetic, join forces to create modern music rooted in old-school sound through live performance, blending futuristic electronic music with refreshing human qualities. They now land on Kajunga Records, a label with a discography spanning the left-field recordings of artists such as Lonefront, Heckadecimal, Ryote, and Lambert’s Midnight Music Club.

Ryan Clover is one of a number of fresh faces emerging from the New York Techno scene – based in Brooklyn he releases music which is destined for rowdy dancefloors and is the founder of HOMAGE.

In the past few years he has released material on the likes of ARTS, Kneaded Pains, fabric and Fantastic Voyage. His latest EP is titled ‘My Light, My World’ EP and was released via Eris Drew’s new label, Ecstatic Editions.

His sound draws upon the origins of Techno, with deep melodic pads, fast intricate percussion and a deep rooted groove within which its very easy to get lost.

At times its euphoric and emotional, at others it’s heady and dark.

This mix showcases his versatile, driven approach to the dancefloor and holds no punches with a hard hitting energy straight from the off.

Mujer de música, de toda ella; de escribirla, de programarla, de soñarla y sobre todo de bailarla. Si hablas con ella a diario sabes que un 50% de las palabras que saldrán de su boca tendrán que ver de un modo o de otro con su gran pasión: la música electrónica. Si naciese 10 veces las 10 veces sería DJ.

La música que Alba Nogue pone es como ella: honesta, directa, divertida y sesuda. Lo mismo te clava un ambient planeador que un latineo mueve culos juntos. La podrás ver como dilata la mezcla 2 minutos creando un nuevo track en directo, y en otras en cambio reventando el drop con un fade out seco que ni ella sabía que iba a hacer. Pone música de manera instintiva, y se nota, sorprende y entretiene, te lo bailas. Sus selecciones son fruto de horas y horas de escucha subida en algún algoritmo que le sirve de vehículo para cribar el género, y que género nena; al fin y al cabo es una bailadora de pista y es ahí donde una adquiere el criterio para sesgar y el talento para mostrarlo mezclado, bailar a otros es la mejor academia, y ella no falta a clase.

La conocerán por ser la mitad de las Systema, ese dueto de DJs que es difícil ya no verlas programadas cada 15 días. En esta ocasión nos pone música sola y se vuelca en demostrar que no le sobra espacio en ninguna cabina, que si acaso pequeñas se le quedan.
