Brand new single from Death In Vegas frontman Richard Fearless on his Drone imprint. Debut single 'Higher Electronic States' premiered on Dummy, Ransom Note and The Drone.  

Welcome to the second aural outpouring from the world of Drone, the London-based label from producer, artist and Death In Vegas guiding light Richard Fearless, now firmly established as an artist in his own right. Earlier this summer Drone laid down its debut mandate in the form of Fearless' own Higher Electronic States, which picked up plaudits from corners far and wide.
 
Discussing the second single Richard says "With Higher Electronic States I wanted to make a record to end my sets with, Gamma Ray is something much deeper. I wanted to create a timeless stark, minimal, desolate landscape of a track."
 
And he's done just that, creating one of those rare things in electronic music, a song with longevity. A piece of finely crafted techno of the highest order; 
 
"I obsessed over Gamma Ray. spending a week on the drum sound alone". 
 
To make matters all the more enticing he's enlisted the supreme talent that is Legowelt to rework the track. Stripping it back further to its core elements this is pure heads music from Danny Wolfers, another extreme audiophile. The depth, texture and atmosphere he injects into the track completes what is an exceptional and significant second release from Drone.  
 
"I feel like I've made the record that is true to this vision." We wouldn't disagree.
 
Having recently taken in part in an RBMA lecture in their Russian headquarters and an appearance at the hallowed turf of Golden Pudel planned for later in the year, the world of Richard Fearless and Drone is in its ascendancy.
 
Dancefloor distortion and other musical explorations, created in the Metal Box, Drone releases oscillations in many forms, further transmissions incoming.

In our 3 flats. Since no one of us is a real/serious DJ we decided that each of us is doing one part of the mix. Jakob did the first, Bernhard the second and I did the 3rd part of the mix. Then we put it together at Top Sound Studio. 

What would be the ideal setting to listen to the mix?

Probably the best setting would be in a car while travelling trough 3 different land-scapes, because each of the 3 parts of the mix is quite different - so it maybe could be this journey:

A 4-track EP from Bay Area producer Mesmerist, who runs the label Dionysian Mysteries.
A brief transmission of auditory memoirs, the release captures moments of euphoria, tension, and reflection in equal measure.

“Boriqua Drip” kicks things off with a ravey, pumping break that gives way to a sassy acid riff at its core. “Festival Girlfriend” follows with wavey, optimistic energy — a track that nudges the listener upward into a cloud of warmth and new beginnings.

Next up, “All My Homies Negentropic” channels a Depeche Mode–style electronic drive with a post-punk edge, gritty yet melodic. The closer, “Tek 3000,” is the oddball of the bunch — a lust-fueled cut built around stripped-back trance elements and hypnotic, heady vocal stutters.

Following on from his excellent, inspirational guest appearance at the Avenue Red event @ SUPERMASSIVE here in his native Manchester back in September, we are now very proud to present his debut on the main podcast series. A true veteran of production, DJing, running slick record labels started back quarter of a century ago etc... this set shows you what you need to know, enter Al Bradley!

"This is a mix made up entirely of recent and forthcoming tracks & remixes by me. I have intentionally not added a tracklist as some of these are exclusive and I might get done, ha! Hopefully it gives a bit of an insight into my inability to stick to one style, which I'm never too sure is a positive or negative thing.

Either way, I think it reflects the way I also work in terms of DJing, as I cover a fair mixture of tempos & sounds generally, especially doing 7-hour sets with Steve Lipscombe under our Precinct guise at The 212 Café & Bar in Leeds.

What I would say is to look out for the second 12" on my new Dragon Parade label landing early 2026 and also some fresh bits, both vinyl & digital, on my main label, 3am Recordings, which - somewhat unbelievably - hits 23 years old next year. "Sai spun her first DJ sets in the improvised Berlin club scene of the early 2000s. She was heavily inspired by her passion for soundsystem culture, triggered primarily by two trips to Jamaica in the late '90s. This led her to curate a monthly Dub Night in a small Kreuzberg spot, where her own selections (then under the name "Selectress Firestarter") were a blend of Conscious Reggae, UK Heavyweight, and tracks from the Rhythm & Sound hemisphere.

In 2021, she returned to DJing after many years, developing a more introverted, meditative sound as Sai-MLD. Her style now focuses on atmospheric Drone Sounds and melancholic, experimental textures. This fresh start prompted her to go public with the podcast series "Moments of Light ‘n Darkness" (MLD) on SoundCloud, which now features mixes from guest DJs as well and has built a growing followership over the past few years.

In 2025, Sai played live again after more than a decade, hitting spots like the Berlin Dubcafé, Superbooth and Minimalbar Berlin.
